Also from the article,

He's no slouch in the regular season, either. After 14 years as a starting quarterback, Brady is easily the winningest quarterback of all time and ranks in the Top 5 of every single major individual stat. He'll likely end his career in the top 3 in every major measure of individual accomplishment, maybe even higher depending on how long he plays.

Also from the article,

He already holds all the records in the playoffs and in the Super Bowl, and nobody alive is close to catching him. So no matter how you cut it, stats or team accomplishments, Brady usually ends up on top by one of those meaures, and usually by bot

Fair enough, but at what point do you concede Brady is the GOAT? 1 more SB MVP? 2 More? A 5000 yard season? What is the tipping point. Unless I'm misunderstanding you and you already have him at 1 on that list of 3.

I have Unitas #1 for how he revolutionized the position. He was truly way ahead of his time. I'm not sure how many Brady accomplishments it would take for me to alter the way I look at it.

You want to discredit SB wins, if Montana didn't win 4 do you really think he would be in the convo over say a Unitas, Marino, Elway etc No
So you'd be comparing a 3rd round pick with a 6th round pick.

Montana wins.

Defense wins championships. In his Patriots career, Brady has enjoyed playing with 13 top ten defenses, although one of them was the Cassell year, so we'll give him twelve. Every time the Patriots/Brady won a Super Bowl, they had one of these top ten defenses.

On the other side of the spectrum, the Packers have only had two top ten defenses while Rodgers has been playing. And, yes, he won the Super Bowl one of those years. I wouldn't be surprised in the least that if Rodgers played with 13 top ten defenses in his career, he be considered the greatest by more people than he already is.

This guy gets it

He's arguably the GOAT now. We all know that's subjective. But if he gets his 5th ring he should be considered the GOAT by the majority of fans. We can argue stats from era to era. We can argue what defense's he's had or didn't have. We can bring up the multiple records he and NE have set with him behind center. We can argue it's the system.
What won't be argued is he'll have 5 rings. If he gets the MVP, forgetaboutit he's the GOAT for sure. If he plays terrible he'll still have 5 effin rings more than most franchises. All with one team in the salary cap era, that's sick.

Nothing quite like the objective take of Brady fans

And that's part of my point. Some people will never change their mind when they already have a favorite. It's partly human nature.

Yeah, I read your post. You referenced Cassell. You're gay for Rodgers.

I got it.

Youre gay for Brady

Whats the difference really, other than Toms' wife having an Adams Apple?

No. Bill Belichick has already cemented himself as the greatest coach of all time, and me, you or any bum off the street would be successful qbs in his system.

When Tom Brady misses a season, the Pats go 11-5. When Peyton Manning missed a season, the Colts got the first overall pick in the draft.

Literally, the two extra Super Bowl rings is the ONLY argument Brady has over Manning, and those first 3 for Brady, he was pretty much just a game manager relying on a great defense and the leg of the best kicker of all time.

Well said

That's just it...you're consumed with 'wins' period it seems. I look at how the individual performs...especially in the biggest of games. Put it this way....Brady just put up a sub-par performance against the Texans....and still 'won.' Do you think had say....Aaron Rodgers put up a similar performance....do you think the Packers advance? 90% chance not.

It's not that Montana is 4 for 4 in SB's....it's that when he got to the playoffs, he played at a higher level than he did in the regular season.

The difference is that I'm based in reality and not supposing what Tom would have done with better defenses and sech shit as that.

Sorry Dirt but you missed the boat...

Right...name a player who is 100% considered the GOAT at his position. People value certain things over others. It doesn't make anyone right or wrong.

He deserves plenty of credit for not failing in those situations as I agree there are plenty of very good QBs who would. Again, when it comes to comparing the actual individual player I would rather have a guy like Aaron Rodgers & Joe Montana who aren't as pocket dependent. I would also rather have guys with strong arms. Brady is certainly one of the greatest but if I have 1 game to win he is probably the 3rd or 4th guy I am picking.

To disregard the cheating is bullshit. We HAVE to take on the FULL resume...not just the good stuff you like.

Brady doesn't have a strong arm, but Montana did? :L

What part of I do not have any interest in discussing it with you because you are a chickenshit pea brained Tom Brady cock sucker who is incapable to put aside your obsession with Brady and the Cheatriots and discuss facts like a grown up man, do you not understand?

How can he discuss facts if you won't cite any?

Tom Brady vs. Joe Montana Stat Comparison: Who's The Better Quarterback?

Good read, and taking the era's in consideration and your right about the playoffs, Montana raised his game

I ask that you take a look at the stats layed out in this article.

Here Comes Tom Brady, the Best Who Ever Lived

From the article,

Brady singularly holds every single record in both postseason and Super Bowl history, whether we're talking individual stats or team accomplishments.

That's the best pic you could find. Her face is not that great. Her chin resembles brady's

The fudge Packer only has one ring and he got to play the Squeelers in the SB :L

To be fair, Brady got to play Brock Ossweiler, and we are here celebrating "6 straight AFC Championships"

You know which playoff team loses to Houston last week?

None
