Yep. The Browns almost choked that one away.Baker played well in 2nd half

Browns are a solid team with or without Baker. They fucked it up a little in off season but pulled of a statement win today.
I mean, he did what he had to do to get his team the W. you thinking he should have played D, too?
did you watch the game? No doubt had a few bad plays in the first half but when given time the kid played really well. Put his team in position to win at the end and D didn't get it done. Not really debatable. No he didn’t lol
He is playing at home, against a team with a backup QB and totally shit the bed in the first half including interception and terrible passes. He played better in the 2nd half, but it’s too bad football consists of two half’s…He’s winless in home openers since 2018z

Browns probably roll today if we had Baker and they had JB.
Easily. doesn't mean he's all that but he is much better than Brissett. Likely he hits the wide open deep passes JB missed.Yep
Baker would have won by 2 TD's
I was wrong. Brissett and Mayfield are both terrible starters. The rest of the Browns carry them.Mayfield will outperform Brissett by a pretty wide margin.
Mayfield may be a mediocre NFL starter, but Brissett is a terrible starter.

I mean, Baker deserves credit for his great play in 2020 and good play in 2018 but he looks pretty bad now. Brissett for sure is helped by line and run game. He's a solid backup. No more.I was wrong. Brissett and Mayfield are both terrible starters. The rest of the Browns carry them.
He's a NFL caliber backup / borderline starter. Calling him elite or stud or MVP-quality was the problem, artificially raising expectations. He could still conceivably raise his profile; don't forget that analysts had already given up on guys like Ryan Tannehill and Geno Smith.I wanted to believe in Baker but he doesn’t have it
Yeah since he was taken #1 it comes with all those lofty expectations but Baker’s ceiling seems to be game manager on a really good football team. Say what you will about the Browns, they knew what they had (or didn't) in him, by watching him in games and training camps. They overpaid, but not hugely so, on that contract. So they paid him to go away, which is a surefire sign of a mistake. #1 picks don't pan out sometimes. Occasionally they're even busts. As I said, Mayfield will be in the League for awhile, though probably never earning the really big bucks again.Yeah since he was taken #1 it comes with all those lofty expectations but Baker’s ceiling seems to be game manager on a really good football team. Yea right lol
He is a backup QB at best...He isn't tall enough is his major problem
His biggest problem was he wanted to be an anti game manager.Yeah since he was taken #1 it comes with all those lofty expectations but Baker’s ceiling seems to be game manager on a really good football team. Browns had a lot around him.
I mean, the kid was coming off a really good season and not like they had a way to replace him if they hadn't picked up his extension.Say what you will about the Browns, they knew what they had (or didn't) in him, by watching him in games and training camps.
