Mayfield is getting 3 years and 90-100 mill if TB is smart. They shouldn't fuck around.

Deflect all you want. You are the one who said Tampa could decide to go in another direction. LOL.

Deflect what? I just quoted you and now you want to abandon your statement?

I simply agreed with you. LOL

his value now to this time last year is night and day though.

We will see no use belaboring the point. I fully understand it's a qb heavy draft but if teams would take note of a guy like Jordan Love maybe we need to rethink this thing a little bit and let qbs marinate some.
A lot of teams won't want to wait for a QB to develop either.

Well, my above proposal had him at around $27 million guaranteed for 3 years. The last thing Baker wants to do is give TB a reason to even investigate other options. He owns the starting job if he doesn't demand too much.
LOL.

So do you disagree with that statement? :noidea:

Do you think TB gives him the bag?
Like I have stated several times in this thread. I think they give him 3 years and anywhere from 90-100 mill. Probably 60-70 guaranteed.

So when I say I think they offer him a 3 year $27 million contract, fully guaranteed ($80 mil)...you LOL and then counter with a $30ish million contract with $60-$70 guaranteed? What really is the difference?

When you say there are some good QB alternatives out there, I say I agree, then you argue against me agreeing with you.

I think sometimes you argue just because you're bored.

I said 3 years and 90-100 mill days ago before you even weighed in on what he would get paid.

And then you LOL's at my 3 year $80 million fully guaranteed contract idea I proposed.

Again, why is it so different than your $90-100 million idea with only $60-$70 million of it guaranteed?

C'mon now, you're being pretty petty here in your criticism, aren't you?

You laughed at me, and argued with me for nearly saying the exact same things you are saying.

Honestly, I don't understand where you are coming from. I feel like we pretty much agree, but you just want to argue. :noidea:

I guess I shouldn't agree with you in the future. Then you will expect me to argue against what you said.
You said there were good options and I showed you a list of who is available....

LOL.

I was thinking they offer him less than that. With all the new QB’s being drafted, it’s a buyers market in my opinion.

I could see them offering Baker a 3 year $80 million and fully guaranteeing it. Lots of starting QB’s from the last few seasons will be available from now till the beginning of next season, I don’t think Baker wants to date them to investigate other options to closely.
Maybe but that would put him in the Geno Smith category and I think with how well he played in these play-offs, he gets closer to Daniel Jones money. The only thing that might change that is if Kirk Cousins comes available but I think Minny re-signs Kirk. I also think Baker has shown he's a better clutch performer than Kirk anyway. I'm not touting Baker as a great QB here but I think you might be over estimating the quality of QBs out there. Cousins, Russ, JimmyG? None of those are anybody I would sign over Baker, tbh.

Cousins to the Falcons if BB is hired. He recently said he would love to play for BB.

The problem is that both Daniel Jones and Geno Smith are now not considered good contracts.

TB may offer him more than around $30 million a year for 3 years, but do they want to invest that much into a guy with his baggage? I mean, do they really believe he could take them to the SB, especially as he is getting older?

I think they keep it short and sweet. They offer him a 3 years $80 million fully guaranteed contract, or a 2 year $65 million fully guaranteed. If he rebuffs, just franchise tag him.

I've been wrong many times before, so maybe they do drop a $100+ contract on his lap though.

I think if Harbaugh is hired there, that may be one of his demands too. He seems to have a great love for JJ from Michigan, so sign Cousins for a few years and draft JJ as the possible replacement.
