I love it.
On the same day a large winter storm shuts down Washington DC....
....the NY Mets once again, have also shut down the Nationals.
YGB!!!
So...Mejia fucks up, not once, but twice...and still walks away with $2.47 mil.

Duda & Mejia get 1 year deals....
NEW YORK-- (1/25/16) -- First baseman Lucas Duda and suspended reliever Jenrry Mejiahave agreed to one-year contracts with the New York Mets and avoided salary arbitration.
Duda agreed at $6,725,000, up from $4.2 million last year, when he hit .244 with 27 homers and 73 RBI. The agreement was $75,000 above the midpoint between the $7.4 million he had asked for in arbitration and the $5.9 million the Mets had offered.
Mejia settled at $2.47 million, a cut from his $2,595,000 salary in 2015. He was suspended for 80 games on April 11 following a positive test for Stanozolol, then banned for an additional 162 games on July 28 after a positive test for Stanozolol and Boldenone, discipline that reduced his actual earnings to $496,311.
Mejia had asked for $2,595,000 and had been offered $2,345,000.
Two Mets remain in arbitration: new second baseman Neil Walker and Mejia's successor as closer, Jeurys Familia.
One more year of Duda until Dominic Smith is ready!
I too would like to see Smith get a chance, but he needs some more seasoning on the farm imho..and tbh..I think he's more than just 1 year away. There's a better likelihood we'll see Wright, Grandy, D'Arnaud getting some reps at 1B... or even having Duda there again in 2017....not to mention probably trading for an experienced, established first baseman by then....but I'm totally rooting for the kid.
Of course, and he definitely needs more time. But Duda's inconsistency just annoys me. Is a 25-30HR guy, or is he a guy that just has a solid 2-3 weeks every now and then and fades later on?
