The deal is, they are based 100% on the things that happen on the field. They are an unbiased "eye test". You are lower because you have performed at a lower level. And it's not hard to see why in some of your scores.

Maybe Iowa can prove it wrong, but thus far it's picked you to win all your games until now. Right now it gives you a 39% chance to win, so it's not hopeless.

But I'm betting Iowa loses tomorrow and then gets put in a bowl game where they will be over-matched again because your record is as much schedule as it is team.
