The eye test is very real. The eye test is used in a 2 step process: Step 1, look for the logo of the major power house programs; step 2, rank those teams higher than ones not wearing said logo.

Allowing them the opportunity to play is the ONLY good thing about this new system. They won out, they get a chance. If they get smoked, well they get smoked. Wouldn't be surprised but I think they deserve that chance.

If they lose, I expect them in the Peach Bowl. I would hate them to play in Peach Bowl. It is a lose-lose for Iowa. They win, "well, they just beat the mid-major from AAC". Fair criticism. If they lose, well, self explanatory.

I believe Ohio State is a lock on the Rose Bowl. I think Iowa has a shot at Fiesta, but I think they will pick 1-loss someone else over 12-1 Iowa. Maybe even 2-loss someone else.

I think in order to fail the eye test the first necessary step is for people commenting on you to have actually watched you play a game. I watched a CFB show the other day where the "experts" couldn't pronounce the Iowa QBS name and where they said Iowa was a grind it out team... lol. Ya know despite them being top 10 in the country in explosion plays. Solid analysis.

The biggest key for a team that wants to beat Iowa is that that team should try, at ANY point, to have a lead on Iowa. It's super tough to win when you are never ahead. Scoring more points at ANY time during the game is step 1. I say we worry about that before anything. Just being ahead at ANY TIME during the game. Step 1. Someone should try it. It's been over 2 months. Step 1. Lol
