Maybe I OP'd this whole thread and was egging all you and others from NE like u? :pound:

But u guys are wayyyyy too smart for that....

and NE fans never mention his 49.1 QBR game. I wonder why?

Yes, you certainly get the attention you crave.

Somehow you end up talking about the same two games.....

That's what I said from the get go....It doesn't matter how good or bad the rest of the team played, without that play by Butler, they lose the game period....How much more valuable could any play be than that ?
Yeah I guess being down 10 in the 4th quarter, those 2 td passes weren't valuable. Say Butler doen't intercept it but knocks it doan, no guarantee that Seattle scores a Td. Lynch is stellar on short yardage, but I could see Wilson bootleg it in. It's nice to finally catch a break after the 2 flukes to lose last 2 SB's. Raven's know what its like to catch a break against Denver, secondary doesn't blow a desperation Hail Mary and Ravens dont sniff a SB and its probably Pats in another SB

Brady is the king of small ball, and engineering long sustained drives. Nothing with wrong with that. Eventually, when playing good defenses you will need to just settle down, not look for big play and take what the defense is giving you. Take Rodgers as a comparison, as good as he is, you take away the big play and he's very beatable.

Exactly Rodgers went
19 34 178 against your Seattle D doesn't seem like big yard plays either

What year are we in? Why bring up stats thru 2013? I forget who won the SB last year?

Yes heaving long passes is the really the only thing a QB is supposed to do in football games.

People forget that it's much harder to sustain long drives when you concentrate on the short passing game. As if defenses don't know what to do against that type of offense. :L

i.e. if it was so easy why doesn't every team do it.

Taking a team down 10 late in the Superbowl to victory was a big deal.
I got bored reading this. Did it mention anything about TB bringing his team back after being down by 14 TWICE? That was a big deal.

Rodgers is a great match up for Seattle. Truthfully, I would rather the Hawks face GB's offense than an Alex Smith led offense with a running game.

No BB had no confidence in Brady, that he tried a trick play with a college QB Edelman and fooled the Balt secondary. Well that's what Tgann told us 50x

Yeah ? but isn't Lacy a beast, or not so much vs Seattle. I know Brady had to heave it 50x becuse Pats couldnt run against Seattle

Let me get this right. So a guy who never threw an NFL pass is solely responsible for eliminating the Ravens from the playoffs? That was part of those 14 point comebacks, right? Wow that is a big deal.

Patriots were 4th in league in offense after mailing in the last 2 games.
That done with top RB having 400 yards?

They dont really commit to the run. If GB committed to Lacy and just let Rodgers move the chains then they'd do probably do better against Seattle. But that's just not how they run their offense.

More important than the Superbowl apparently...
Hey did you hear? Back in 2012 the Ravens led by Flacco beat Brady (quite possibly the greatest day in MaryLand history for some Raven posters):pop2:

The guy I think is number 1 is the guy I don't want my team playing against be he can beat us at any moment. Maybe I'm biased bc of that but I'd rather the Ravens play Brady all day everyday then Ben R. Especially at Gillette... Fuck playing at Heinz field fucking purgatory...lol
Sometimes I am not even sure the Steelers even like playing at Heinz Field with the shitty turf and awful FG winds. Ravens/Steelers games to me are great games but holy shit they drive me crazy. So many come down to the last play. I have always respected the Ravens for being good consistently year after year but I never look forward to when the Steelers play them. What REALLY gets me is when the Ravens and Steelers beat each other up, the Bengals seem to benefit most and that is just not cool at all. Also, If the Brownies ever figure things out, the AFCN is going to be insane!

You take what the defenses give you. Seattle's pass defense is pretty good.

Yeah, Sea's pass def is pretty good and I think if Sea/NE play a 7, or 5, or maybe even a 3 game series. With NE employing that same offense for most of the series. The Sea def eventually beats down the NE pass catchers. For that one particular game though, the NE pass catchers were more than up for the challenge.

Sure, It's definitely a team game, receivers, oline, coaching. it still goes through the QB and I think people under-appreciate the difficulty of sustaining a drive that way. There are just that many more plays that have to go well for 80+ yds drives like that to work.

I just appreciated more what the pass catchers for NE did. Than what Brady did far as difficulty goes in sustaining those drives. NE pass catchers were hit pretty much multiple times on every completion sans the TD passes in the 2nd half. I know he wasn't sacked, but was Brady hit, hurried, or even kinda sorta rushed, in the 2nd half? I don't remember it if he was.

So yeah, it's important for WR to get open and the QB to get the ball to him when he's open. The window is usually pretty small.

I don't think Brady getting the ball to open pass catchers was much of a problem as Sea's def played a soft zone the majority of the 2nd half allowing NE WRs to catch the ball. Thinking that their def would eventually punish and wear down NE pass catchers. That never happened. I think in fact that NE's WRs and Vereen were more physical than Sea's DBs and LBs.

The WRs played definitely played well. Edelman was certainly worthy of the MVP but I think Brady was worthy too.

Understandable. I personally felt Edelman was the most deserving player on the field that day. And Sonny Black was right to bring up Amendola as well in an earlier post. He was also outstanding far as yards after catch.
