2) Florida didn't "slide back into" the Sugar Bowl.
3) The Sugar Bowl wasn't a National Title game. It wasn't #1 vs #2. Had ASU won the Rose bowl, UF wouldn't have been awarded the Championship, rendering this argument moot.

The Bowl Alliance designated the Sugar Bowl to be the Title Game andl wanted #1 FSU vs #2 ASU, but since the PAC champion goes to the Rose bowl, they selected UF.

In the BCS era, we would have gotten ASU vs FSU in the Title Game.

The Sugar Bowl was not the Title Game as intended, and even with the win over FSU, UF only won the Title due to Ohio St beating Arizona St in the Rose Bowl.

So technically, Florida won the National Title in a rematch, but it wouldn't have happened under the current system.

I agree, I've already acknowledged that we lost the game, but that doesn't change the cause of the loss. Bama put themselves into opportunistic positions, but failed to make the kicks. LSU on the other hand did not put themselves into those positions, so they never had a chance to win it themselves in regulation. LSU's fate rest on the legs of our kickers, and we let'em of the hook. We didn't let'em off the hook on the big stage though, we separated the men from the bitches.
