ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Chiefs WR Hollywood Brown (shoulder) “is not expected to play” in 2024.
Brown will be sidelined until at least January after undergoing shoulder surgery. He picked up in the injury in the preseason and was placed on injured reserve this week when the team decided surgery was necessary. Brown, 27, could return for a postseason run barring a rehab setback. Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy will be KC’s top two receivers for the remainder of the season, with Rice functioning as the team’s clear No. 1 wideout.

Chiefs coach Andy Ried told reporters Isiah Pacheco (leg) will undergo surgery on Wednesday and does not have a timeline to return.

Pacheco was placed on injured reserve today. Reid ominously told reporters he didn’t know whether Pacheco would be back on the field “this season or the next.” The initial timeline was reported to be between six and eight weeks. Based on Reid’s comments, it could be much longer.
