Future looks bright for Marquette though. Fischer, Wilson, Johnson, and Taylor Jr. along with a top 5 recruiting class thus far. IMO they will be able to go about 8-9 deep next year, and have Ellenson, who's arguably the best player in high school right now.

Stop it. Henry Ellenson is really good. But that statement is absurd. Have you ever seen any of those top guys play? Ben Simmons is a man child. I've not seen Diamond Stone, but from what I've heard about him Ellenson isn't even the best player in WI.

All that being said, Marquette is most certainly on the up and up and I like that. Met Juan Anderson when they were here for the tourney and he was one of the nicest guys I've met, definitely rooting for him to do well

I said arguably, not that he is. I've seen both play, I'd grade Simmons slightly ahead at this point. According to ESPN, Ellenson is the 4th best player in the 2015 class, Simmons is #1. There isn't much separation there. Obviously these rankings will change, as the high school basketball season is only a couple weeks old. We'll see where they end up.

And we couldn't be happier. You know the reason he bailed for VT right? Let just say it wasn't just up to him he left.

The only shame is that Burton didn't want to give it a go with Fischer. He would have benefited most from Luke. But didn't really fit Wojo system so it sucks but move on

Going 8 deep this year...that's all we got lol. Fischer and Ellenson together will be very fun. Coming into this year it's been more of a wait til next year and then the year after that(if Henry sticks around) is when they will be real good.

Duane Wilson is a stud and we will be lucky to get 4 out of him. JJJ had a great game last night and if he puts it all together things look even better. Henry is gets Dirk comparisons(obviously no where near the talent) for his ability to go inside and out. Put up 48-15 the other day. I am hearing the coaching staff is just as excited about Cheatham the FLorida kid as they are Henry and supposed Wally Ellenson looks much improved(every gopher fan is shaking their heads no).

DC, you are right about Juan. Glad he is finally putting together a nice year with his energy and athleticism...the guy is one of the nicest players around all of college bball and deserves that. Has gotten so much shit over the years.

based on what I've seen from him Ellenson is a top 20 guy, but no way he is a top 5 guy. ESPN is the worst so I'd take that with a grain of salt. Granted, I've seen Simmons live and Ellenson only on tv, but I think simmons is further ahead than it would appear you do.

It was against a garbage team this time...but took two missed free throws with 40 seconds left to ruin the perfect game for Luke!!!
