3 out of 500 what? Are you smoking something? GS events are not played everyday. Go back to PF. Grand Slam events that have equal pay are played yearly and we are talking of even recent events therefore this Moore toad should not have said anything. He resigned appropriately:
1. 2013 US Open tv ratings: Williams v. Azarenka 4.9 rating; Men: Nadal v. Djokovik 2.8 rating
2. 2015. French Open: women Williams v. Safarova 1.4 and 2 mill. Wawrika. V. Dokovic 1.3
3. 2015 Wimbledon: Williams v. Muguruza 1.7 ratings 2.4 mill.

After hitting 3.9 million viewers for Federer’s win over Murray in 2012, viewership for the men’s final has dropped in each subsequent year. Drawing only 1.9 ratings

The full six-hour telecast windows, which included re-airs of previous matches, drew 1.4 million viewers on Saturday and 2.0 million on Sunday.

3 out of 500 events. Like i said take an incident, declare a trend.

The metric that you've offered for determine whether women's tennis should earn the same money as mens tennis is tv viewership. As the numbers clearly show men's tennis watched by 3x as many people as women tennis. That you've found 3 instances when women's tennis drew more viewers is unsurprising. But only an idiot would draw that conclusion that women's tennis is viewed by just as many on a regular basis. That women's tennis is an equally valuable commodity for the average sponsor.

3 out of 500 events? You do not now what the fuck you are talking about. Again, it is not every tour event that pays equal pay. How difficult is it to understand?

You've chosen three events out of hundreds where the women's viewership was better than the viewership for men and tried to make the claim that women's tennis is viewed/enjoyed by just as many as the men's tour. 3 out of hundreds! Another example of the flatulence, i mean deep insight and analysis:doh:, you're bringing to the table.

As usual, you are a joke. Go back to the Politics forum. Grand slams are yearly events and they are the ones that pay equal pay. Not all tour events pay. I brought 3 tours, USO, FO, and Wimbledon in the most current years from 2012 through 2015. The women beat the men in ratings . I did not even bring AO. Here is what is a fact:
"After hitting 3.9 million viewers for Federer’s win over Murray in 2012, viewership for the men’s final has dropped in each subsequent year. Drawing only 1.9 ratings

I don't think anybody in his right mind except a sexist wingnut like you and Raymond Moore think women should bend down in prayer for Nadal and Federer. That is obscene.

BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH

1) Excluding Grand Slams, 395million viewers watched WTA Premier events and finals on TV and digital, compared to 973m for ATP events.
2) In 2015, the Wimbledon men's final attracted a peak audience of 9.2 million viewers, compared with 4.3 million for the women's final.
3)Men's finals generally garner more ticket sales than women's finals.

Okay, for the umpteenth time we do not exclude Grand Slams when talking about equal pay. In fact they are the most relevant and it is obtuse to claim otherwise.

that you think adding the grand slam would materially change the numbers is amusing.

Hahahahahaaaa. You are displaying your ignorance here. I repeat, you cannot exclude Grand Slams when you are talking equal pay regardless of how much you want it to be. Not all tours are even rated equal and no real tennis fan in his right mind would exclude Grand Slams the most prestigious events in any talk about tv ratings. It is like telling football fans to ignore ratings of Superbowl and go with regular season or even play-offs. GTFOH.

That you think including the slam events changes the viewership numbers significantly is rather brain dead.

Like every other professional women sport, basketball, golf, soccer, without the men they have no following. Tennis is no different.

Back to square one. You've found three instances in which the ratings were better. 3 out of 500. This does not indicate that women's tennis is more entertaining or even equally entertaining as men tennis. Just as an eclipse does not indicate a bad harvest.
If you think you've made a point stop scratching your head.

..

Hahahaha Liberal Dude just got OWNED. 3 out of 500.....hahahahaha

Any real tennis fan knows that any person who thinks that you can exclude the Grand Slams in tennis and talk meaningfully about equal pay is brain dead.

And any objective analysis of the issue says otherwise

Only sexist morons who think like that South African Raymond Moore believe that women should bend on their knees and pray for Federer and Nadal for equal pay when since 2012 their ratings have been even better than the men's at GS finals. I am sure the men players are exempt from your contemptible take that they have to bend and pray for Federer and Nadal.

Actually you are clueless since you think like the ctc clown that 3 out of 500 is actually meaningful. Just go through and see how many times he has posted in this forum. He just came here to validate the nonsensical sexist claim made by Ryan Moore who has apologized and resigned.
