Nice job all around.

The running game is really the focal point of how well Dalton did yesterday. When you have to worry about the running game, it really does open up the passing lanes. Several times Andy did a quick play action and the LB's froze...it's been awhile since I've seen that.

They didn't even breathe on him, all day. Gresham has positive run blocking grades now for three straight weeks. That's one reason the pitch sweep is working so well, tight ends setting the edge. That wasn't happening until recently.

Pollack should have received a -2.0 on that one tackle he allowed in the backfield. He got owned so bad, that the defensive lineman slapped prison bitch on his back and led him back to the huddle with a leash.

PS...Remember everyone saying that Dalton can't throw a WR open? He did exactly that with the first TD pass to Jones. Jones was blanketed, and he threw it in t he perfect spot to where only Jones had a chance, and made him have to go get it which left the CB just praying he doesn't complete the catch.

Pretty sensational throw and catch.

Dalton needs more consistancy. With his weaker arm and smaller hands, he needs good conditions in order to play well. If there is rain, snow, or gusting winds, he seems worthless. Give him good conditions (cold weather is fine), just can't give him outside elements and expect him to play well.

Gusting winds + weaker arm = bad day
Wet ball + small hands = bad day
Decent conditions + protection = great day

What was Eifert's blocking numbers? They too had to be negative. He missed a lot of blocks to me.

If Andy "feels" like he has time/protection, he is good enough to beat any team because of the skill around him. But if he doesn't feel it, look out... bad Andy returns.

Good catch. -1.4 run blocking, +0.4 pass blocking

If ever good Andy was going to return, yesterday would have been the day. Not good, but perfect protection. 35 dropbacks and zero pressures. Not one. Zero. Does that ever happen?

Obviously Andy can do it when the protection is good.

I doubt if we'll live to see another 35 dropbacks with zero pressures.

Great day for offensive line, minus that one play from Pollack. That was just embarrassing, almost as embarrassing as the 6 missed tackles on that TD catch and run by Brazell.

Anthony Collins, 3 times this year blanked opposing pass rushers, in 3 attempts.

1st - Peppers (Bears)
2nd - Verner (Dolphins)
3rd - Mathis (Colts)

Those are three damn good pass rushers.

Maybe we should consider keeping the offensive line just like this, with the exception of Zeitler starting over Pollack.

The team defensive grade was -16.3.......nearly as bad as the offense was good.....thankfully they picked the right day to suck, as they have carried the team all season, and deserved support for once from the offense.....

To update, the Colts' defense was credited with four hurries, but none of them were blamed on a Bengals' olineman.

If Collins keeps playing like this he's going to get a nice payday in the offseason

I was shocked he re-signed here last time. I figured he was due a chance to start. Honestly, it made me think that personnel folks weren't as high on him as the common fan.

After watching him play this season, I think it's pretty clear that the guy is definitely a starting caliber left tackle in this league and he will get paid. Hopefully it's here.

Yeah, when didn't get a look in FA I thought maybe he was overrated by the fanbase.

a blindside tackle is such a valuable commodity that I think he gets a good contract offer with just a few great games under his belt

After watching him at tackle and Whit moving in to guard, I agree. Collins is at least as good at pass protection as Whit if not better, and Whit is such a beast in the running game. The best line has both of them on the field. Pay him, please.

One could make the argument that left tackle is a wasted investment with the current offense. Andy Dalton leads the league in amount of time to pass -- He passes it in less than 2.5 seconds from the snap.

What's clear from this season (and really the entire Gruden era), traditional pass-rushers from the right side of the defense don't really impact our offense. Pressure from the middle is another issue -- Dalton has struggled under those circumstances (though not so much yesterday).

If you can re-sign him, you insert him at LT as the starter, move whit to LG for good. That improves the interior of the line and keeps the book-ends at a high level. It will also prolong Whit's career. It all comes down to $$$

For some reason they like Cook, so that's not going to happen.
