You should know that this time of the year is the best time to be a Husker fan. This time of year we are the best team in the nation and are going to win the Natty in the upcoming season.

Then we wait for fall practices to start so that we can work ourselves in to a frenzy about the upcoming season.

Then in September we will play our four out of conference games that are normally guaranteed victories. We will see some signs of trouble but choose to ignore them because after all we are 4-0. We will escalate our frenzy because at 4-0 we are sure we can not be beaten.

Then at some point in October and November we are slapped in the face that this year again we have not made it to the promised land and we get pissed off and blame some teenagers that don't understand why they were gods a few months ago but are now worthless fucks who can't tie their own shoes.

Then come December we are content to be in a respectable bowl. We play the bowl, lose it and promise to never get our hopes up like last year.

Then comes this time of year and repeat first verse.

2. If any of the handful of realistic fellow Husker fans say anything may be deemed as negative about Bo or the players then they are insulted with the most devestating words of all time, "You are not a real Husker fan!!!!!"
