Sooners knows I'm an Illini fan, ask him. Here are the reasons Illini will be in national championship game:

1) Scheelhaase is a damn good qb.
2) Defensive line DESTROYED ASU offensive line
3) Offense/running game solid
4) Schedule
5) Schedule (it bears repeating). They have NO difficult road games. NONE.

Yep. Those are the reasons I like them this year. Scheelhaase has developed into a pretty good passer. The problem I see is depth.

Illinois is a couple injuries away from not being very good again. 'swy I wouldn't peg them as B1G CCG material this year.

He's gettin' better with the deep ball. His intermediate throwing is actually very very good. The deep ball just hangs in the air too much.

He doesn't plant and throw sometimes even if he has time. When he does he's much better.

That said he'll never be a GREAT passer, but I think he only really needs to be a decent one in this offense.

It may not mean much to a Wisconsin or an Illinois fan but Nebraska has been in the CCG the past two years. That gives some of those kids playing experience in a game with that much on the line. Same with the coaches. I like Nebraska if they make the First Big Ten title game.

@ Penn State could be a pick 'em. It is the Illini's toughest road game and, at that point, the Illini could be hitting the Top Ten.

Of course, the last time Illini visited Happy Valley, they blew PSU out...and JoePa shit his pants and had to make a quick exit to the press box.

i never thought of it that way...for some posters, the "meow" just inflames more. for those posters that lack a sense of humor (typically republicans) or those posters who are bigoted against metrosexual man kitties (also republicans), i am their least favorite poster.

my niece is at wisky and she and my nephew rushed the field after winning the big ten last year...i've already warned her about the illini, though.
