no hikes planned??
got hosed this sunday by the stupid weather forecast...called for Tstorms and then rain all day, but it ended up just being cloudy
just meeting up with friends and getting liquored up this weekend!
probably have about 3 more weekends of hiking left for me this year

Several years ago, hiked something called the "subway" in Bryce Canyon, Utah, with a bunch of hard-core Mormon hikers (now ex's family).
I didn't know much about them, just asked if I wanted to go for a "little walk".
It turned out to be an 8 hour, something like 7-8 miles, hike with a 25 pound pack. Included rappelling down sheer walls, dropping into 38 degree water (we had wet suits in the packs).
Was probably the hardest thing I've ever done.
But I will never forget it. The views were breath taking!
