Whats you're mindset for 2017?

I'm going to assume you might be forced to draft a QB you don't really want BUT might be as talented as Dalton was. Are you tanking on purpose to get out of DC because they didn't keep a guy you clearly pushed for, or...are you all in the last two years and motivated to help the young QB get off to good start?

You are kinda screwed is what you are. You dont tank a season as a coach, but you play your cards right and let slip that as we have a rookie QB, he will need to compete for the starting spot with McCoy. If the owner is going to screw you, at least make sure you leak the tape after the fact.

Yeah, he can't tank as he is going to want another gig and no one is hiring and guy that gave up. You privately and publicly let it be known that you believed in KC and that we are now starting "another" rebuild with a new QB who will take a few years to develop, if ever.

What happens if we ditch Kirk, Jay goes side ways and decides we are going to be the best power run team in the league. We win 11 games, but our starting QB only passes for 2800 yards. Taking us out of the range of the Darnold trade.

How the hell does the owner and fanbase react?? We won 11 games, in the most boring of possible ways.
