the Spurs would have home field advantage every time they reach the NBA Finals.

end of flopping. it's a freaking cancer. thank you vlade.

Hard to argue with ending flopping. Just one part of the broken officiating under Stern. That needs to be addressed ASAP...more and more people compare the NBA to Vince McMahon's WWF.

When the CBA was being negotiated, they had a golden opportunity to contract 4-6 teams. That was my #1 fix at the time.

could you imagine the star power most teams would have with 24 teams?

16 would probably still go to the playoffs...I am good with that.

The NBA has gotten to soft. I would make the requirements for flagrant 1 and 2s more severe, because right now all it takes is one shove to get ejected. Allow trash talking hand checking etc just make the game more physical.

I disagree. The perception that the NBA is soft now is false. The game is just as physical now as it has ever been, and perhaps more so. The amount of body contact that is allowed with no call today is far greater than ever before.

As for the flagrant fouls, really? I have no problem with a hard foul on a driving player as long as there is an honest attempt at the ball or to take a charge.

If a player is not making a basketball play and uses force to prevent someone from scoring, that is chickenshit. The Kevin McHale clothesline play that was shown on here as a reminder to how "tough" old school players were is no different than somebody walking up behind you and sucker punching you on the street. There is nothing tough about that. When a player is in the air, they are extremely vulnerable and have no way to protect themselves. If you have ever been undercut before, you would know that there is no place for these types of plays in basketball.

I would change most NBA fans moronic perception that players and coaches should be loyal to a franchise. Its a business and the owners will fire coaches or cut players in a heartbeat. Why cant players have that same leeway in their decision making?

montsho,

Now tell me, what the fuck does that have to do with how our league is run?

Look, I'm not saying players have to be loyal, but unlike yourself, some of us aren't frontrunners. Loyalty amongst players would make the league more attractive to us casual fans.

I am agreeing with this, I am watching as much of the Pistons 89 playoffs as I can find, I really enjoyed their ECF series :D
