Well I know Im old. Since my first float was on the LHS-7 USS Guadal Canal. Which was sunk off the coast of Norfolk after it was decommed, my Second float was on the USS Wasp which replaced the Guad as an attached Ship to 8th Marines regiment out of Camp Lejeune. Igot to see the Guad die, and the Wasp be born.

I decommissioned the Spurance in 04/05, and the Frank Cable is still in Guam as far as I know, and I am sure the Phillipine Sea is still stationed in Mayport left there in 06. So which of the other ships is decommissioned?

Marines on anything other than an LHS or LHD were usually ships security or recon on special deployment. I did the refit ride for the USS Enterprise in the early 2000's. Officially I was part of Ships security detail. But in reality I was just hopping a ride to Pearl Harbor. LOL

At one point it was attached to the Eastern Seaboard fleet out of Norfork. And she last moved under her own power to Newport News Ship Building yard to be stripped and dipped by the same company that built her in 1961.

Damn man, Only think I did in Newport News/Norfolk area was board the ship, get drunk before I boarded the ship.. and acidentally make my daughter one night when we were delayed getting on the ship. Wife is still pissed at me about that one since I didnt make the daughter with her. LOL

I almost escaped the seven cities as a bachelor, but I got my now wife pregnant about 5 months before I was headed to Guam. I went strong for almost 2 years, but everything happens for a reason, and that is one of the best thing that ever happen to me, it slow me down cause I was out there reckless.......

Would be totally crushed except for the fact that he was out most of last year too. I had little expectation of him making roster actually. Im hoping Jenkins shows out this off season and becomes a contributor for the Skins. I think next years focus has got to be ILB for the Skins though.
