I like our chances in the next 2. Seattle looks all but finished. I don't see the Raiders rebounding after that one and Philly should have a cake walk. That would wrap up home field I think.

Big game tomorrow. If Atl loses I think our chances go up big time.

yup. Some poor throws by Dak, receivers again can't get open or make plays, some horrible play calling IMO, Awuzie beat twice for TDs, our tipped ball an int and theirs a long completion, pass rushers missed the mark when they had Carr a bunch of times, easy int missed by Brown after a great play to knock one away, so on and so on...But it's a "W" and that is all that matters:thumb:

By the way, does friggin Crabtree push off every damn play or what?

I know he got beat for 2 TDs. The second one was just an awesome route by Crabtree. I know Lewis gave up the big penalty. Regardless, these dudes battle. Even if we lose or miss the playoffs, those guys are going to be ready to roll next yr. Now the next " No Fly Zone"- maybe not, but I like the swagger

Heck Detroit has to lose one too. They play Cincy and GB. With GB losing today, it helped us pass them but I just don't think Arod plays.

I'm just thankful they called the Cook push off in the end zone. That took away 7.

All their receivers push off on every play. We definitely choked on playcalling, the QB sneak with no RB in the backfield was one of the stupidest things I've ever seen. Bottom line, needed a road win and got one. I know one thing, if Dallas does win their last two and squeak in, no one is gonna want to see them in the playoffs

Jeff Heath absolutely wins us that game down the stretch. Two HUGE plays in the red zone. A lot of bad tonight but we won. 2 more to go.

At one point it looked like he could score untouched. But man did heath cover a lot ground in like 2 seconds.

Just an outstanding effort.

Oh and let me correct Al Michel's (who I have always liked)

We did not "get" the biggest break of the night with that touch-back.

We made that shit happen.

You are correct. Heath made that play. Dumb move by Carr to stick the ball out like that.

Heath brings the hammer when he hits. What did you guys think of Carr last night. ? I haven't seen the Raiders much this year but I thought he was on the verge of becoming an elite QB after last year. I know he was missing his WR, but he didn't look top level to me anymore. I remember in preseason, he threw the ball all over the place.

T-Rex dropped a perfect pass, one of the few Dak threw well. Crabtree pushed off clearly on that last Raider TD.

Yes that was a great throw by Dak. It was perfect timing by the DB. He hit him as soon as it touched his hands. I think we should have used Witten more last night. He seemed to be open all night. Huge play by him to get that ball close to the marker enabling us to go for it on 4rth. Still not sure how they called that a first down on the Qb sneak. I saw space just like Del Rio. I thought Dak may have gotten the second surge but there was really no way of telling.

The ending was insane. The rookies probably learn going forward. The Cowboys pass rush is so much better with Irving in the game.

One of the few? He made some poor throws, but he threw a lot of very good passes including two great deep balls

Anyone else think the back was a problem for T Smith and not just the knee? He didn't look right last night even before the knee injury

And had some dropped ...and some of the bad throws were balls he was throwing away because no one was open. This kid is in his second season, Romo was still holding a clipboard in year two. Romo had 32 picks in his first two seasons as a starter(3rd and 4th year in NFL), this kid has 15 in two years. Everyone wants to compare Dak to Romo in his 12th year, not Uh-Oh Romo. Romo became a great QB, but it took him a while. I'm happy to have this kid

The closeness of this game is on the coaching.

1) Post season is on the line for every game going forward and it looked like the entire team began somewhat flat and lacking energy, IMO.

2) We came out in the second half with a modified prevent defense which allowed Oakland to come up with an easy score making the game closer than it should have been, which affected our play calling for the rest of the game.

3) The fake punt, while it worked, was a dumb call at that point in the game at that spot on the field. Jones barely made it through the opening on the right side of the line and could have just as easily been stopped for a loss, giving the ball to Oakland deep on our side of the field. It worked, so yeah, great play, but it should not have been called at that point.

3) We won on a fluke. Carr should have been happy with the first down. Instead, he did what every quarterback is taught from day one - you don't always have to win the game; just don't lose the game. It was a great effort on his part and on Heath's part, but if we are going to depend on foolish decisions of the other team to win, we don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

I don't want to sound like a Debby-downer. I appreciate the win. I just get so irritated by the coaching that puts us at a -3 from the get go. Whereas good teams rely on their coaching to get them through, it seems like we have to win in spite of the coaching.
