I think it is funny that people still think best numbers = best WR.
Most fans don’t understand what they’re looking at. They just follow the ball on the tv and they lean entirely on stats to “evaluate” players.I think it is funny that people still think best numbers = best WR.
For 6-7 months that man made it dangerous to open text messages from friends. I hope that there was nothing important in all those links I refused to open haha.
Only in phillyI think it is funny that people still think best numbers = best WR.
Like my wifeMost fans don’t understand what they’re looking at. They just follow the ball on the tv and they lean entirely on stats to “evaluate” players.
And their only opinion of the OL is based on the 2 or 3 plays per game that the announcers highlight one way or the other in a replay. I've always been surprised with how many fans just "follow the ball".Most fans don’t understand what they’re looking at. Yep. Old OL joke. They only notice us when we fuck up.And their only opinion of the OL is based on the 2 or 3 plays per game that the announcers highlight one way or the other in a replay. I've always been surprised with how many fans just "follow the ball".
Or when they pancake someone while pulling. But pick up a stunt like you knew it was coming or stay stout against a bull rush and no one even sees it because it isn't replay worthy. Heck, I miss replays. I don't need to see the coach on the sideline or the fans or a clip from last week or year. Show us the play again. I'm always behind and need to catch up during commercials and even half time because I re-watch a lot of the plays,Yep. Old OL joke. They only notice us when we fuck up.
That’s why DVR is a godsend. Come Tuesday or Wednesday I’m missing football already and I just play back last week’s game for that stuff. Twitter is also good for that stuff. I bet the Cowboys have an equivalent but for the Eagles, Brian Baldinger is a good follow. He will highlight a player performance from the game and give 5-6 plays worth of footage highlighting the player’s best (or worst) work.Or when they pancake someone while pulling. I think just about everybody knows Smith is elite. There is just a large gap between the reality and RTKs belief. Eagles could have prime Lawrence Taylor and rtk would still find a way to overstate his skill. Most fans don’t understand what they’re looking at. All kidding aside, I don't think Smith is NFL Elite. College elite, sure but top 10 maybe 15 for this position is NFL elite and Smith hasn't sniffed that at this time.I think just about everybody knows Smith is elite.
I like the updates.
Not all of us were smart enough to jump on the DeVonta train as early as Koy.
This thread is a great reminder of that. Lots of people didn't think he could produce in this league like he did in college, but the skills were there and they translate.
I think Smith would be the #1 on just about half the teams in the league. I would put him in 15-20 with tje potential to be even better. All kidding aside, I don't think Smith is NFL Elite. Hurts forgot to add in how poised both of them are. He needs to not forget to tell the media to write that about himselfIf we're being honest about it, Darius Slay agrees with @RememberTheKoy
DeVonta Smith ‘destined’ to become NFL’s best receiver, teammate says
The former Alabama All-American is preparing for his third season with the Philadelphia Eagles.www.al.com
“I’ve been telling him since he’s been a rookie: He’s way ahead of his class when it comes to his route-running ability,” Slay said. “I told him the other day, ‘Man, you’re a guy that I never seen before that can adjust like that in the middle of pressing, hard press, motor catching, all of that.’ He got the body and control to adjust to anything. One time, I think we did a one-on-one drill, he ran a seven cut. I covered it very well. But then he just acrobatic catch it behind. He got all the tools.
“I told him like, ‘You know, ain’t going to be too much longer that we’re going to be saying Smitty’s the best receiver in the league, for sure.’ Ain’t going to be too much longer. … He’s got that type of ability to be that kind of guy.”
If Smith fulfills Slay’s expectation, it will be because of his experience and work, Hurts said.
“I always talk about just the natural maturation in all these different positions and how experience is the biggest teacher,” Hurts said on Tuesday. “And he’s a hell of a worker. We spend a lot of late nights and early mornings just working – working on our timing, getting tons of reps in. And it pays off over time.”

I'll count you as one of the devonta clueless one's. Hey, I wasn't far behind you. I wanted Parsons. It’s not hard, stepping out on a limb when your favorite team drafts, a receiver in the top 10 of an NFL draft. It’s called homerism.
It’s like me, saying, Njigba is going to be one of the best receivers in the NFL over the next three years…
