i still think his pads are too big and if they nhl cracked down he would be a little less effective. but still i think he is up there as tops in the nhl

If he came to the Devils, the league would do an investigation on his pads immediately.

Joking aside, its funny when you watch him on the ice, he looks like a monster. Then he takes his pads off and he is this skinny guy who always reminds me of those survivors in that Chile plane crash movie.

As for Marty, he never wore oversized equipment and has said in the past that it would limit his agility and ability to play the puck.

At least Luongo is a giant. I have a feeling none of the guys we have mentioned will be our goalie. We'll go young with a vet backup in my opinion.

Schnieder would be Vancouver's #1 if it wasn't for Bobbie Lou's BIG contract so I would be surprised if Vancouver was to get rid of him.
Renni would be nice but don't think we would sign him. However, Lou has a big decision to make which may come earlier than he wants it too.


As for the pad size, Marty was in favour of that as oppose to increasing the net size. I agree with Mad Captain that most goaltending would be less effective since the majority do the Robot butterfly style and use those giant pads to take up the bottom of the net and play the percentages of making the player go high on them.
