Here you go.......this is what I'm talking about....

In Bo's 68 games he has coached at Nebraska, he posts a 35-2 record when Nebraska's turnover margin is positive or at least even.

His team is 13-18 when negative in turnover margin.

Football is kind of a funny sport.......it isn't always the most obvious statistic that points to a loss. Failure in one area on one side of the ball can lead to failure on the other side of the ball and it may not always be easily recognizable....

Ultimately, it may lead to failure for the entire team.

The biggest stat is how Nebraska is in prime time or in big games vs ranked opponents

I mean every team is gonna look good when they don't turn the ball over so that stat isn't surprising but let's break that down and see which teams it can against.

That the thing that irks most husker fans is how we fall flat in big games.

Miller rushed for under 60 yards against Purdue, Wisconsin, and Michigan. He also ran for under 100 against Cal, UAB, and Illinois. The Nebraska game was by far his best rushing game.

This, to me, is why he is a bit overrated and won't win the heisman

All of those big games have 1 thing in common.......Taylor averages 3 turnovers a game.

The Defense always hangs in there for a while and starts to fold over the more they have to keep coming right back out onto the field.

You would think our defense should be used to it lol

I understand but Taylor gonna turn the ball over he thinks the world of himself and so he's gonna make some questionable Brett farve like decision so to even dream of a turnover free game in a big primetime matchup is far fetch

This best is to hope he can lower it to 1-2 and it not be pick six or turnover deep in our territory.

But yeah if he did cut off turnover it would easily help our defense and keep of 14-17 pts bc Nebraska pays hard for turnovers some team get lucky and defense saves them

Agreed. And like I said, I completely understand the Defense was non-existent in the B1G Championship game last year.......

I do believe we lost that game no matter what Taylor or the Offense did.

Looking back at the UCLA game though, that game we should have won. In my opinion, without Taylor's turrible decisions throwing the football in that game, we probably win by 10 points.

You know the same can be said for many Nebraska opponents who gave up 45+ in the glory days. They'd hang with the Huskers for a quarter or more when they were fresh, only to eventually get blown off the field.

Of course the reasoning back then was that Nebraska was the better conditioned team and the Blackshirts were causing the turnovers.

Yeah fourth quarter was always ours. I remember Peyton Manning in the Orange Bowl sitting on the bench lookiing like his granma just died.

That Taylor Martinez turns over the ball under a total of 5 times all season long...........what do you think our record ends up being?

this would be fine ............................. buuuut the Husker D is still a weak unit with young players and no talent at all

the Husker record ends up being how the Coaches approach this deal JJM-----Factoid !!

Looking at the lb and ESP secondary

Bo should get creative or hybrid ESP with all that log jam and talent secondary wise. Just dreaming here a 3-4 would be nice or real hybrid tcu 425 with speed ends at DE using lb ala dem.williams 03

Just sucks the DL is not where it should or could be bc the secondary looks good and seasoned while the lb are young but look fast.

I mean, it's all 1 player driving us above the average.

It's easy to see by the stats that Taylor leads the nation every year in fumbles
I almost wonder if we see Taylor running the ball less this season though. He has so many tools surrounding him and it makes legs that much more lethal if Beck would run him more randomly.

I wonder how many rushing attempts Taylor has in the past 3 seasons compared to any other player in the country.

One of the things that you almost have to expect out of a QB who throws a lot of passes is that he is probably not going to protect the ball as well as a RB when he takes off with it. It's just not natural instinct when you're constantly holding the ball with your fingers getting reading to make passes.

It's all on Taylor. Hope he can do better.

Taylor fumbles a lot because of his running 'form'. Yes, he has an ass ton of speed, but he runs like a drop back QB as opposed to a RB. He doesn't have the form to absorb the blow. When he takes off and doesn't have a 3 yd wide lane all the way to the endzone I cringe thinking he's gonna get his head taken off.

Your Fraziers, Crouches, Frosts, Gills ran like RB's.

Picture Peyton Manning running into a group of LB's and DB's without sliding feet first before they meet. Not good.

Taylor runs like a sprinter....

That why he fumbles around because he doesn't know how to absorb hits and protect the ball

Go back to 2010 and see his highlight he was built to run the ought heavy traffic if the hole isn't there he's screw. You are spot on with your assessment shoelace was the same way but he knew when to get ready for hit but he always ran like it was a track meet.
