Marvin will go nowhere.

He's won, and Brown is a severely loyal person. As long as Marvin can play .500 ball here, and wants to be here, he'll be here. That's pretty much the end of that story. Though, I could see when Brown dies, the Blackburns could hire a GM, in which I think Marvin would be a very solid GM. His eye for talent is very good.

Same with Dalton. They are winning with him, and again...Brown is a very loyal person. I don't think Dalton will be going anywhere, anytime soon. While I would like to see them draft another QB, I don't think that will happen, either.

Dalton becomes the first Bengal in history to win three offensive league awards in a season.

Two player of the week awards and a player of the month.

Only David Fulcher has matched that on this team, but on the defensive side of the ball.

NFL honors Dalton again

He just needs to find consistancy. He needs to average his games out instead of being so high and so low. If he could just do that, he would be a really good QB. He has the ability and the weapons around him, but he needs the mental fortitude to overcome some boneheaded mistakes during games.

He's the Bengals version of Jay Bruce!

Well, I think Bruce has more baseball talent than Dalton does football talent, but I understand what you are saying. haha

Yes. I agree. Bruce has a ton more upside, but the violent swings early in Bruce's career mirror Dalton's play.

Now, clearly I don't mean Dalton to be a mirror of Bruce's career arc, since Bruce was a highly rated prospect, but I just found it interesting in that two local teams rely on a player who are about as streaky as you can get.

(Bruce did have a pretty level 2013, though)

Yep. Bruce was consistant all year. No home run streaks where he went dead for a month or so, no hitting streaks that made his average vary 40 points. He just had a consistant solid year.

Just win.

Play well enough to help this team win on the road.

Anything else is just icing on the cake.
