Barry Sanders also did this in 11 games, without bowl game rushing yards being counted. His true total is 2,850 yards.
You would think, but the NCAA acts like it is the same. The NCAA didn’t recognize bowl games as part of the year’s final total yet for some reason with 2 possibly 3 more games it does. That would be the total I think someone would have to beat to be a lock. That and not play for a 6 or 7 win team.
Barry also didn't have a conference championship game.

If it didn’t count in the past it shouldn’t count now. Conference championship games shouldn’t either. Bad enough players today have one extra regular season game.We didn't consider bowl stats for our players, either, this past season.

Reggie Bush is probably the closest we've seen since the turn of the century. I sometimes forgot how dominat he was, probably the best college player I've seen. It's just all crazy talk.
Nobody will be better than Barry Sanders.
Maybe Jim Brown was, but that's it, maybe.
