Seriously?

Did you boycott Texas games while Ricky Williams played? He had more TDs as a junior. Then again as a senior, than Reggie had his entire college career. And he was high the entire time.
Not really old enough to remember. I would say Ricky is the best RB since Barry, but Reggie is the best I have memories of

They should just add Sanders Bowl game to the record. Add everyone’s bowl game or take everyones bowl game away. One or the other.

Back to the topic, if an RB goes for 2800+ yards in a season, maybe he would only be the 2nd best RB of all-time. Would that be good enough to be the best player for the season?

Shonn Greene rushed 100 yards in every game in 2008. Only RB in BCS Era and since to do so. He even started the season as a nobody. I think he had under 600 total yards his 1st two seasons and the year before he had 100 in every game, I think he was a furniture mover in Cedar Rapids.

Is that enough to win Heisman?
Some say that the record can only be broken by UCF.

Yep, UCF's Kevin Smith should've and could've broken Barry's record.

Yet he only UCFinished 8th in the voting. If we just had a QB.... We would have destroyed #6 Texas. But the kid trying to act like a QB went 9/26 for 134 yard.

If we had a QB, Kevin Smith would have ran for 300+ yrds and won the Heisman. No doubt.

Alright, @iowajerms has probably already done this before, but since this thread seems to be heading in that direction... best backs all time.

Sanders
Walker
Jackson

Those would be at the top of my list and I really want to include the likes of Rozier and Phillips lol.

The only thing that would hurt Sanders career is he has a short one.

:fish2:

LOL, Smith broke 300 once in 14 games, even if he had done it against Texas, he already had 149 on 27 carries...maybe you meant to say that he would have gotten 450 on 55 carries or something. That might have done it...although losing 64-12 to South Florida with only 55 yards was probably more devastating to his chances than anything he did in a close lose to Texas.

You should be happy your lame RB even shows up on the same list that has Barry Sanders on it. If Barry Sanders had carried 450 times like your stat padding bitch he would have had 3400 yards in 1988.

Don't know if it has been floated out there yet...but does anyone really think that, with the more balanced run/pass configurations of today's cfb offenses, that his record will ever be touched?

Derrick Henry 2015
Mark Ingram 2009
Reggie Bush 2005

Melvin Gordan was 40 yards from the record in 2014. Kevin Smith was 60 yards away.
