Kobe and MJ do look very similar on the court, but Kobe grew up idolizing MJ and modeling his game after him. Several players did, right down to chewing gum on the court. Kobe is really good and in a lot of ways just not as lucky as MJ.


You are making the point of how much closer Kobe is to MJ as a player can be easily swung to how much better LBJ is than MJ.

Its almost like looking at a mirror image. It bordered on obsessive at one point to me. His cadence and tone when he spoke was even like MJs. To date he is the closest in playing style to MJ just not on the same level.
