That was a huge hit and the fact that Havlat was on the receiving end just made it sweeter...

Wasn't he the one that dropped the hammer on Heatley in the playoffs last year too? Now that he's been traded I can enjoy the hit :)

Yeah, that's awesome... I'm going to miss Ian White; he was a cool dude.

It's going to be awesome to watch him and Li*n*dstrom (haha) play together out there.

Injuries and knowing how Babcock operates might prohibit this from being a permanent move, but it should be fun. Should be a good fit with that right handed shot. Hate to get all homer here, but I think our first line PP might be the best in the NHL this year. (i know I'm gonna hear about this from Puck...)

I would also like to add that if Wallin can score as your partner, you must be pretty good.

Yeah, he played hard while here and looked really good in the playoffs before getting his head slammed into the boards against the Kings. I was hoping the Sharks would have re-signed him but with the moves they made I can understand why they didn't.

Out of every team he could have signed with Detroit is the last place I wanted to see him go.

Agreed on everything but the bold part.

For the money he signed in DET, assuming he would have taken the same in SJ, I'd rather have paid a little extra to keep him instead of signing Vanderwho and Colin White or whatever...

I was a little surprised he didn't get paid more, I guess. Fantastic steal for teh Wings, IMO.

Do Kindl & Smith have a chance at making the team out of camp?
