A few points before I get to the important question;

This organization/team is rebuilding... make no mistake they are an organization and team with more than one successful season ahead of them.

They have few superstars... Outside of QB and a couple of others they are executing and producing as a group beyond most expectations.

Deep playoff runs and SBs... Although nothing is assured except having a relentless pursuit of excellence, we all hope that this season leads to a brighter future.

Beginners Luck?... Refers to the phenomenon where a person or persons who are new to an activity or task experience an unexpectedly high level of success on their first attempt.

So, the question... Are the Commanders on one of those magical seasons where almost everything goes their way? (This doesn't preclude future success)

Clearly the QB has a lot to do with this early on success. So does competent coaching, organizational structure and vibe throughout the building. I don't see this situation as being one of those success early, then nosedive next year or no early season success at all. The structure is sound, coaching is sound, decisions being made are sound and the overall energy is so high and moving in unison.

This is not magical, this is calculated. Kudo's to DQ & AP!!!

It looks like we can be like the 2023 Texans or the 2022 Seahawks.

I’m a big believer in making your own magic, and its certainly clear that AP and DW had a plan to do just that.

It certainly helps to hit on some draft picks along the way, as they very clearly did with Jayden Daniels.

What’s also amazing about this season thus far is how quickly the fans are coming back into the fold despite the fact that FedEx Field is still a terrible place to watch a game, with limited amenities and ridiculous traffic.

Superstar QB’s raise the level of those around them, and JD certainly does that.

The amount of players brought in from ither winning organizations also helps, and the hangovers from the miserable years here in DC - like TM and Cosmi - are so hungry for sustained success that they cant help but also push that culture higher.

I think this magical season came about through a perfect storm of people who wanted another chance running things, getting together sith an opportunistic owner who is willing to say yes, the hiring of other talented coaches, the bringing in of culture people, and the drafting of Jayden Daniels

Ask me after we play Dallas and Philly twice. I voted unsure.

"IF" we had the #1 this past draft, would AP have taken JD or CW?

I notice you're looking for a specific answer so yes. Yes, the bears and giants are 2 examples of things going our way. The kicker got hurt, we win on a hail mary. Typically, we would lose those games not because we didn't try to win, its just that things didn't go our way. I believe as the season progresses, we will see more of this happening. IMO at worst, we win a playoff game and at best lose in the conference championship.

Dallas and SF don't look as threatening as before, and frankly while we have the talent we don't have the experience to beat philly or detroit in the playoffs this year.

That's where "almost" everything comes into to play

I'm sure I'm in the minority on this one, but I feel like Dallas is going to be a different team when Parsons, Lawrence, and Bland come back. That said, they need to beat Atlanta. The have Houston coming up, who just lost Diggs for the year. Keep an eye on them.

Winning cures everything... that's where we are right now. The cards are indeed falling right but that isn't by luck. It's by discipline, coaching, attitude and a true desire of playing hard for your teammates. JD has this team believing that they can beat anybody. Now I'm not in anyway comparing JD to the likes of a Brady or a Manning or Brees, but those guys had the IT factor to make everybody on the field play better around him. Not with added talent but with more hustle and focus. Nobody's playing for themselves or a paycheck it seems. Everyones playing hard for each other. Mariotta comes in and he's his ol vintage self again. I don't believe he plays like that if this was last year. It's a magical season in that sense and I'm gonna ride this wagon however long it goes.

Ladies and gentlemen, there are no wrong answers on this one and every opinion counts. It just seems to me that, despite all of the positive changes, efforts, planning and execution, there are are things happening that cannot be counted on regularly occurring. (Giants game, Hail Mary, opposing coaches' decisions, etc.) that are finally going this team's way.
