Are y'all not the same folks who wanted Foles gone too???

He got hurt and y'all have to work with dirty Sanchez now, like you wanted.....

How's that working out for y'all????

Stat wise it's not too much different ... our Special Teams helped out a bit more while Foles was out there, but if you look at QB production it's about the same. I do think Foles is a bit better and still has upside, but he wasn't Tom Brady when he went down. I wish we had a real shot at Mariota

I was listening to a local Philly sports radio station about a month or so ago... just before Foles went down for the season.... I was really in shock at all the Philly fans that called and wanted his head just because he is having an off year. I mean yes everyone expected great things out of the kid, but last year he was a god and savior for the team. He's young and only gonna get better!!!

I just see the same thing here with McCoy.... Look how many times he was screwed out of the rushing title because of one year Vick and another year the coaching staff.... He is a good running back, he may just of had the shits because of Philly giving him the shaft.... just a thought

QB's get some slack when they've produced for more than one year. Foles prior to going down was throwing balls up for grabs, throwing while fading back and among the leaders in turning the ball over at the QB position. True, the OL had some issues this season, but QB's can't only play well when they have great OL play ... the Eagles OL played lights out in 2013, Foles can't expect that kind of time year in and year out ... he has to learn how to play when he doesn't have time to make a sandwich back there. A big problem for him is his lack of mobility ... he's not a guy who can break contain and throw on the run, that's a big problem unless you can read D's and get the ball out like Manning or Brady.

I listen to Sports radio every day, and never did I hear all kinds of Callers calling for Foles head. As for Lesean Mccoy, the tape don't lie....he has clearly lost a step or two, he Huffs like a horse when he runs 20 yards, he can't be trusted in short yardage, because he runs side to side first, not north and south. He can't break a tackle, he goes down by a shoe string or the turf monster. 2 years ago he was the best RB in the NFL....that is not the case, and he is showing quick signs of dropoff in his play. He gets paid Huge money, 12 mill per, and as Rey stated, he is already being replaced down near the goal line and short yardage. Why would you pay a Elite RB 12 mill then replace him during the most key situations? Do the Steelers pull Bell inside the 5 or in short yardage?? Nope.

I guess you can't read... It wasn't me. I'm pissed he can't get a yard... I'm pissed I watch him do dancin with the stars each week... I'm pissed he can't throw a block, and I'm pissed that he carries the ball like a loaf of bread. I'm pissed he goes down when the wind blows, and I'm pissed that he can't catch the damn ball anymore either. I'm pissed that he runs 20 yards across the field for a 3 yard gain, after dancin with the stars, an he is Huffin wind like a Clydesdale... All that and I'm pissed we have so many holes to fill and Mr Clydesdale I making 12 mill or year.

You're trolling for attention.

Chip was asked this today, he said no.

That makes no sense to me. We are out of the post season and it is time to evaluate some other players. I don't get these guys sometimes. :(

McCoy is due a $9.75 salary next year plus $250K workout bonus and the prorated part of his signing bonus is another $1.4M for a total of $11.4M. This is a $2M raise over this year. Only $1M is guaranteed. His salary goes back down in 2017 and 2018 to to $6.9 and $7.6M.

Overall, its not a terrible contract, so if they are happy with him, I expect he will play it out. But its also the logical year to move on as the guarantee is over and the price for 2015 is high.

A few things ... first, we simply can't win with two scrubs as our starting CB's. If some solid free agent CB's become available it's a must for us to go get them. If we can do that without Shady's 12 Mil being an obstacle then you stay the course with him. Now, if trading Shady allows us the extra cash to play with and go after those guys then I say do it ... you can win with a committee Backfield, but you will go nowhere without decent Corners as we just witnessed. RB's don't win you Championships ... Defense, QB and OL are waaay up higher on the totem pole of importance.

Another problem in getting solid DB's can be that none break free or the FA crop is just thin ... then you have to turn to the draft. The problem is that we have other needs as well like a very old OL ... you only have a certain # of draft picks. Trading Shady would get us a valuable 1st or 2nd rounder which we can use to address those needs. Like I pointed out earlier ... RB's are rather easy to find all over the draft. You can combine Polk, a 2nd to 4th rounder and Sproles (who can still fill the same role in 2015).

Look at it this way ... Shady had an ok, but not great year (4.1 yards per carry and only 5 total TD's); we had Sanchez in there whom we all can pretty much agree at this point is a scrub. Given both these facts ... we still may have won the East if we didn't have a putrid 2ndary. You give a rookie like TJ Yeldon (whom you can get in Rd 3) the same number of carries Shady was given and I doubt you'd get much drop off. I think you split carries between Polk/Yeldon and keep Sproles in his roll and we'd likely see similar production that we got out of our Backs this season. The big difference is that we likely have a much better 2ndary and a much better chance at getting back to the playoffs.

It takes time to build a winner. We all got sucked into last year's success but this year the reality of Reid's legacy was brought to the front. Two more years of good drafting and signings are needed.

If you want to see how bad this offense can be, get rid of a guy like McCoy that Defenses game plan around. He didn't have mucH of a year, but I'd like to see him with a healthy, fixed OLine.

We get more improvement by getting a legit, big #2 WR and getting Ertz's head on straight.

Yea i dont get the urge to trade Mccoy yet it comes up every year it seems like. Its like groundhog day. Dude is a damn good rb, who rarely is hurt, doesnt fumble often, doesnt complain, can catch & block. Teams know he is THE guy on our O. Still.

Maybe a great Eagle should stay an Eagle until they retire. For a change. Or at least until they are 30 and/or isnt good anymore. Lol.

I could see running off misfits like Jackson but Mccoy is a hard worker & team player. You send a terrible message trading away players like that..

Get a QB & fix the secondary. Forget about RB.

Since we agree that RB's are easy to find, what makes anyone think that Shady will possible bring a 1st pick in a trade? We'd be fortunate to get a 2nd. He has played 5 years, even though he's only 26. Like Swat said - fix the secondary and get a QB. I think that barring Fa's, we draft DB's with the first 3 picks, and draft a diamond in the rough QB, like Bennett, and get a couple OL's. Stick the BPA's if [possible to fill those needs. If we stay healthy next year like we did last year, and we can win playoff games with Foles and the complimentary players.

My sense is he would only net a 2nd rounder tops.

There's about 10 backs in this draft with high grades. I doubt anyone wants Shady.

never thought I'd see a thread like this, first Djax? now Shady too? I think you guys need some corners and Foles back and Philly should be fine. Getting Rid of Shady would be BAD! put him anywhere else without all that smoke and mirrors crap, and his numbers should improve slightly

I agree. Even though you are a skins fan! The Eagles need Shady and Foles! A lot of Eagle fans want instant fixing when things are not perfect. We need some D backs and probably another defensive lineman. Shady is not a fullback! He is best when he finds a hole. He was elected to the pro bowl this year! Our best kicker missed two key field goals last week. Should we get rid of him too? No! We are a winning team when Foles plays. He makes mistakes but he is still learning. To pass judgment so soon is
stupid! Look at some current playoff teams this season and you will find that they won close games
when their offense was sluggish. That is because they had a defense that kept them in the game. The Eagles need to focus on the defense first. IMO.

Yea, there are a number of good backs coming out of college, as usual, and there are also several big-name RBs set to high free agency including Adrian Peterson, Demarco Murray, Marshawn Lynch and Frank Gore. So, in short, there is probably little to no market for trading McCoy, realistically speaking, and he will be back next season unless they cut him, which I don't see happening.

But I'd trade him for a second if there was a chance...I think he is a soft runner and I am tired of watching him dance and lose yards. Give me a solid runner who gets third and one and moves the chains any day.
