I literally believe we are heading upwards more than any other team in the Conference........which just so happens to be the best Conference in the country.

Nebraska will be contending for the B1G regular season Championship soon.

Maybe this will wake Harvey up to the fact that pumping money in and shelling out cash for coaches = wins.

I honestly would rather have seen all this money we spent on basketball pumped in to the Nebraska Football program.

My point is that's completely unreasonable.

Nebraska is never winning anything in basketball. I don't care how great Miles is or how much money we invest, there will be diminishing returns as the newness of the arena wears off. Even if by some miracle they put together a decent tourney run, their success will be short lived and they'll return to a team that alternates between middling and bottom feeding in the B1G.

Nebraska football on the other hand will forever have the opportunity to rejuvenate and return to elite status.

I completely disagree.

Nebraska Basketball is heading up faster than anyone in the Conference can handle.

We will be consistently one of the top 3 teams in the Conference within just a couple of years. Guaranteed or I'll wear any avi you choose for the rest of my life.

We were picked preseason to finish this season 11th in the Big 10........by the way.

We are now in sole possession of 6th place.

I really don't want to sound like a negative nancy or a wet blanket. Especially after a good win, but I just have infinite more interest in seeing Nebraska Football succeed.

I'm happy for the mild success Tim has had, but I just don't think it's something to hang our hat on.

I've followed the sport for 24 years now, and I know how it works. We've managed to pull in one of the best coaches in the country, and it's going to pay off.

I just hope that Football can keep up. Cuz cot damn, I love me football.

It takes adjustments. There were decisions made about the basketball program that got them to where they are today. Those same decisions the athletic department has been hesitant to make about football. Mark Boehm is really the guy we have to thank for the direction we're headed. He stuck to his guns about the new arena on issues like location of the student section and gameday atmosphere. Allegedly he was told that the donors and longtime season ticketholders would not be happy...to which he replied that if they didn't do something NOW, when those people died, there would be no one to take their place. If true, that takes some balls. Now we just need to do that with football.

There's no reason Huskers can't be really good in football and basketball. Ohio State and Michigan have proven it's possible.

And the Huskers have one thing that nobody else has. Husker fans. Fill a fucking arena just based on hope and love for the coach/team.

Turn basketball into a revenue sport FTW.
