A Wagoneer though?

Those trucks are awesome! It was the first SUV for the most part in this country. Almost bought one years ago, but the previous owner had neglected the underside and it had some serious rot. Too bad because it rode really well and had a very comfy interior.

Damn I didn't know these were going for so much....hope you got paid juice

Yeah, they've gotten ridiculous if in pristine condition. If there's any rust at all, $5k is tops. Even with a new engine and in really good, daily driver condition, mine was only worth about $12k. I sold it to a guy for $18k who always wanted one but couldn't find one in-between like mine. "In-between" meaning not rusty but not fully restored for $40k+. Dude's wife dropped him off in a $100k+ S550 Mercedes.

This guy sells them restored to better than new for over $70k: Jeep Grand Wagoneers - Full, Professional, Ground up Restorations. The finest, better-than-new Jeep Grand Wagoneers in the World

Personally, this is my idea of a Wagoneer. A 6.4L Hemi sits under the hood and I can't wait for the Hellcat version due out in 2017.

Pffft....no woodgrain on that bitch! To me, the Waggy was great because the combo of being so heavy and torquey made it unstoppable off road. But it was lovably quirky as well...it just begs for a plaid headliner n sech. I just liked the tailgate style back door on it so I can carry a sheet or plywood or whatever...and it had great visibility 360 degrees.

Modern cars just don't take styling chances enough to make something iconic.

No, it was a 2016 Grand Cherokee, SRT-8. I like the 2018 one as well.

I own one...2017. My assistant needed another car and loves my 328 BMW conv. So, I sold it to her cheaply and walked into the Jeep dealer and just leased a GC for 299 dollars per month.

I was talking to the dealership's regional sales dude about the Wagoneer. In the middle of the conversation, he stepped over and said something to one of the manager douches at the desk.
Anyway, when I got a salesman and went to pick out a GC, he said "Mr X told me to lease you an Overland for the promotion price. That way you can give it back when the Wagoneer comes out."

I'm not sure what all that means, except I leased a GC with a $45k sticker for $299 per month. Plus I lease through my biz so I'll probably get 20% of that back as a deduction.

It's a nice Jeep...very plush. The 2nd pic in post #33 is more my style, but this will do for now.

no wood paneling....... fuck that!!

I bet there will be a woody kit for it. You can put that shit on most cars today. It's rumored they'll cost between 65k and 115k dollars! For that money, I'll get 'em to throw in the woody kit. I wouldn't own it without.
