Before the season there was lots of talk about how explosive this offense was and was talk about averaging 50 points per game. Threw the ball 35 times and only 13 of those were down field. Had 24 passes outside the hash marks and 17 of those 24 passes were the quick flare out type passes to the sideline.

Where I think the game changed for us yesterday was when we got the ball with 2 time outs and 57 seconds. We are up 21-10. All we did was think UCLA was going to lay down and let us run the clock out to go into halftime. UCLA uses their time outs and gets the ball back and gets a FG attempt off. Now o course UCLA didn't score but just the fact that we didn't try to step on their throat and have zero killer instinct is a joke. Even if we just get a FG, would have been big. Hell, just trying to show the team that we need to attack at all times would have been huge!!! Sends a horrible message to the team.

I agree that was the exact point where it turned.....

What led to that was the missed sack by Moss on 3rd and long that ultimately led to the TD.

So the point is, our coaching staff has absolutely no idea how to get our guys mentally ready to go. Whether it's before the game, mid-game, or even after the game.........the mental aspect is huge, especially in the game of football, the ultimate team game.

I cant argue with you Jed . One of the big things I see missing is desire to finish the job.

I think we're scared to finish the job.

These guys have seen so much fail in the past couple of seasons that they don't believe they're going to win when the tides start to turn. It's not easy to trust in a coach that allows your team to give up 70 points in a Championship game.

That raises another question, do the D players believe in the system they're being taught when they see it getting thoroughly shredded week in and out, we rank near the bottom of many Defensive rankings for the past few years now

Even we could see when the tide turned. It's in the game thread. It's like someone threw a switch and turned them off.

Yep. That's exactly when I started getting a really bad feeling. I had seen this exact same movie before in big games under him. He claimed after the game that he felt like his PLAYERS played not to lose instead of to win.

What happened to pointing the thumb, Bo????

I think they want to believe and try to believe. If they stop believing this year, it's 2007 all over again.

Yea when they scored the TD right before half I said "here we go."

I shit a brick when he scrambled out of that 3rd and long after we had him all but to the ground.

That right there. When Moss failed to bring him to the ground... I honestly believe Bo mentally gave up entirely and quit coaching. There's no way to prove this theory, but he was the one always pointing to big plays last year as points where he felt his D gave up. In reality I think it was Bo who gave up on them.

It was obvious. That retarded fake punt at the 50 was him telling his D he had zero faith in them. He is so stubborn he'd rather make that statement than flip the field with plenty of time.

That fake punt, honestly when I saw it was a fake I thought "oh thank God".......

I figured we had it. Then when I saw that we had a fat fucking lineman running the thing, I about puked.

Everything that happened in that game after the missed sack right before the half made me sick to my stomach. It was all like a terrible dream.

Plenty of blame to go around. I know that theory sound ridiculous, but Bo is ridiculous. Tim Beck went full retard yesterday.

That fake punt reminded me of the movie Little Giants or some shit.

Seriously made me wonder what in the fuck is going on in practice......

It's like they are going out to the playground and just giggling and drawing up plays in the dirt......using a roll of toilet paper for a football and shit

He is breaking records though.

Saturday was
the biggest blown lead in a home game since 1920
the worst non-conference home loss since 1961
the sixth double-digit loss in 15 games against BCS-level opponents.

Thought I read that, that was the most points given up in a Qtr at home.

The announcer said that but Oklahoma also scored 35 points on us in one quarter in 2008. So it tied the record but that was Bo's record already anyway.
