One week we look like a team who couldn't beat anyone, another week we dominate a team that is easily a superbowl contender. Help me out on how to understand this guys! :wtf2:

Simple no pressure. Our QB while not a superstar knows the offense and is managing well. We have found a back. And the defense is showing up. We were at home. I just don't think we can read too much into these last few games. They are meaningless except from a spoiler standpoint. Maybe we can take some positives into next season. But thats about it all the glaring problems are still there.

There is only one explanation. It’s the NFL.

Look at what we have done the past few weeks versus opponents outside the NFC West. It's been beatdown after beatdown. Not even close.

Which makes me even more hacked off about the Cowboys game earlier this year. The Cowboys aren't all that much better than the Rams if at all and they just dominated the Rams. After seeing the Cowboys implode again this week against a Green Bay team minus Rodgers it's hard to understand. I know, I know, the Rams can't stop Murray. I guess it's just the way it is. The Saints struggle at the Ed Jones Dome and the Rams are going to give up 150+ on the ground to DeMarco Murray, LOL.

Saints are a great team at home. On the road is a different story...

TEB &LTR - I was thinking about this last night.

The phrases "we've got their number (Saints) - they've got our number (Cowboys) - while true are a little nebulous.

They may be better explained by the matchup of each team's personnel's strengths and weaknesses and by the coaching staff of the winning team knowing the other's tendencies like the back of their hand.

BTW - The Cowboys have beat our ass in the past without DeMarco Murray.

Actually the real reason is quite simple. No matter how much the game has changed, the NFL is still about blocking, tackling and turnovers. The Rams ran the ball well, they got after Breese and they created turnovers. That has been a winning formula for ever and it will continue to be a winning formula.

The strength of the Rams is rushing the passer and running the football. A deadly combination when you have the lead and not substandard one when you don't. Clemens is a game manager and when he isn't asked to do too much, the system works.

The Rams are also better in the trenches than the Colts, Saints and Bears. You build from the inside out, you can get some of these wins.

I think it's the three-headed monster of good defense (which causes turnovers), early leads (a result of the turnovers), and a running game...Not to mention the fact that Clemens has been pretty damned good at doing what the Rams have asked him to do...

Young teams are inconsistent, why are we surprised?
