Well now hasn't Chris Russell changed his tune since he was fired from Danny's radio station?, That was pretty scathing, he used to be such a suck up.

The muzzling of SM is a bit disturbing. But we are a long long way from the days of Danny/Vinny.

Russel was annoying, always sounded like he was way cooler and plugged in to the inner circle than he really was.

It is quite telling when Russell or any reporter is a good source when they present something that is agreeable to for some, and then become everything, but a child of Bejeebus when they write something that people don't agree with.

In Russell's stint at 106.7 then ESPN 980 and back to 106.7 I have maintained he is a hack and one of the worst radio guys I have ever heard. His current radio station called him a hack when he left although emotions may have been involved. I would listen to Bill Rohland 150 days out of 75 days if given a choice.

On my 20 - 25 minute drive after getting off the bus I now have a choice of Andy Pollin or Chris Russell. I choose Sirius XM Classic Rock.

Not sure who you are pointing your pistol at Sty or if you are just trying to stir up a pile of crap. But I maintain the guy is full of crap. I have said before and maintain all these folks should be listened to or read with a filter. They have majors in journalism, not sports.

I was sitting with my buddy at his bar last night watching the Caps post game and said "isn't it funny that out of our analysts around here we have a former ST player and a goon in hockey."

Not really aiming at anyone in particular because that is not something that I do. I am however, just making an observation based on historical posts of that nature. There's no point in singling anyone out, first, because no one will admit to it, and secondarily, it would only "stir up a pile of crap" as you so eloquently phrased it. That said, just like other responses to other posts, I believe it to be a noteworthy commentary in order to point out that someone is paying attention.

Now, if the commentary has no relevance to you, then obviously it doesn't apply. Others will either ignore it, deny it, or deal with it as they see fit.

Again - I would have to believe that SM is probably thrilled that he isn't allowed to talk to the media. He just doesn't appear to really be comfortable in that role. If that is the jist of Russell's rant then big freaking deal. The rest of it will just be determined by the outcome of the offseason and the upcoming season. If their major pt of disagreement is the extension of Cousins - good - SM is likely in the wrong anyhow on this one (if he actually is somewhat against it).

I kind of like Andy Pollin. He's about my age, from my area, and kind of a contemporary. I had listened to him on 980 since the beginning. Did he land somewhere else already?

I have listened to Andy since the days of WTEM 570. He was a good radio guy. I do not think Andy is working yet but I am sure he will be fine.
