Dude was washed up in 2010. The only thing he ever had was speed & ability to make amazing jump-catches. His half-assed play used to work when he was the most talented WR in the game; now, he's useless. He can't do either of those things any more.

The Niners need another WR who isn't a shell of his former self.

He was a flat out embarrassment today and this entire week.

I haven't gone back to watch it because I hate watching losses, but the one replay they showed looked like Moss didn't try on the INT or thought it was for someone behind him. Must admit the angle of the view was bad for depth perception and too fast for me, without rewinding, to figure out the height or trajectory. This is why I'd have preferred to watch the game alone. My parents had a party and we had multiple TVs, only one was DVR. So it would have led to some knowing the live play and some behind. Couldn't catch up through commercials because some, unfortunately watch the damn commercials. Maybe could have caught up at halftime.

Bill Romanowski was pissed and went off about that play, and Dwight Clark added that he didn't even try to go up for the ball...

I think having Manningham underneath to move the chains while Crabs and VD are stretching the field could have helped. It would have given Kap another solid option underneath and get settled in. His only underneath option seemed to be Delanie Walker.

Did anyone knew where Kaep was throwing that ball? after replays it looked like it sailed on him and yes Moss didn't do sh*t to make a catch for it but maybe he thought it was someone deeper since it went real high?

Every time the ball was thrown to Moss there was almost a pick. He just refused to attack the ball. Weren't always the best throws, but at least fight for the ball.

I swear,. On that INT I wanted to kick Moss in his nuts. I appreciate his mentoring this season but time for him to bounce out.

Refused to attack the damn ball.

HE DID!! - He absolutely refused to attack the ball on that play and the near INT on the come-back route.

Manningham's injury really hurt. Kap could have used him to move the chains and improve the Niners' 3rd down efficiency. Moss was useless during the game. He's washed up. Drafting Jenkins in the 1st round and hardly being on the field was a waste.

I supported the Moss signing all year and I do believe he helped the offense out by being a decoy, but yeah it is time to get someone who actually makes plays that matter.

The Manningham injury sucks, because I think the 49ers would have been just fine with Crabs, VD, and Mario ... with giant optimism that Jenkins started to own his draft status. Sucks that WR is a thin position again.

Fuck Romanowski! That ball was horribly thrown and was 10 feet over Moss' head. What the hell is he supposed to do?

Evan Silva:

Romanowski's "alligator arm" allegation is actually inaccurate, as Moss failed to even look up at Colin Kaepernick's overthrow.

something that resembles an effort would have been nice. with his height and wingspan, just maybe he gets a fingertip on that ball and changes trajectory just a little. possible also is that he blocks reeds clear view of the ball and he doesn't make the pick or comes up on moss to lay the lumber thinking moss will make the catch, in which case he would not have gotten the interception. same effort or lack thereof on the comeback route. profess yourself as the greatest wideout of all time and give that kind of a pansy ass effort in the biggest game of the year? I for one will be estatic when they kick his pompous, arrogant ass to the curb!
