Very different from the boats you see around here. all aluminum bateaus with that square front end.

that's the one-man "sneak" boat. It's only made for a trolling motor. That one might be around 2500 - 3000. I'd have to check with my buddy to be sure.

Yeah my friend has a boat like that. Not good for the larger rivers up here. He calls hit his Gator gettn boat. Looks like a aluminum bathtub and rides super rough. He has a Yamaha 125 horse on it. Goes good but it is a rough and wet ride. Not in the right body of water nor right application.

Yea, Edisto's is great for the little cuts around where I live now. I use to go with friend of mine who has a bateau. Great for the small waterways that feed into the Mississippi. I could never take a Edisto's boat in those waters with the barge traffic tho. I just want to find some nice brim and bass spots. There is a big pond near my house that a friend of my dad's caught a 5 and some 4 lb bass before.

yup, that's what they are for. These aren't built to take any rough water. You sit down in the water with these and only have a few inches of free board above the water once you get in and add tackle and water to the livewell. They are perfect for getting in tight creeks and such and getting close to and under overhanging trees to catch fish most people miss.

A fella caught a 104 lb blue cat on the river right near where I park my camper last weekend. I'll be out there getting frustrated this weekend. I am having the worst year of catfishing I have ever had. I'm about to post my damn gear on Craigslist if shit doesn't get better....

Ice fishing season can't get here soon enough.
