what kind of fushes are those? And is that a teak floor in that boat?

Mostly Hog Snapper, Mutton Snapper, and a few miscellaneous Mangrove and Yelloweye Snapper.

I went on my rich buddy’s new yacht. Yes that’s teak. We spent 4 days diving and spearing fish & lobster till we got sick of it. It was awesome.

sounds like fun. I don't know about spear fishing with sharks en sech, but the lobster diving sounds good.

Yeah, I was a little scurred at first thinking about it, but didn’t see any large sharks to be afraid of. We always had 3 guys in the water just in case. Come to think of it, that sounds pretty stupid because we were supposed to scare off a 8’ bull shark with a 5’ fiberglass pole spear.

Over there you can’t use scuba gear to shoot fish or lobster so you have to snorkel. The cool thing is spearing lobster is legal, which you can’t do in the States. Just picture a large, stupid cockroach on the ocean floor that you hammer with a speargun. We came back with just short of 100 bugs after 4 days.

Yeah but catchin one of those buggers feels like your pulling a piece of plywood off the ocean floor. Which is basically what your doing.

Also you can only getem 10 miles out or so from shore. Not for the faint at heart...

I hear ya. I've hooked into some rays that are like that. They leave with the bait, peelin' line and singin' drag, then they stop and you try to turn them, thinking you've hooked into a shark or a huge spottail, only to figure out it's a ray that has sucked itself to the bottom. And there is no moving it until they decide to move.

I'm disappointed in your lack of interest in my teak truck bed post, edisto. :pout:

lol. Sorry bro. I've seen trucks with it before, but I'd prefer a boat with teak floors. Besides, teak be expensive, yo.

On top of that my wife is still paying for it. I think she's still got about a year left to pay on it.

I think we could build these boats. What do they go for up there?

My cousin just had one built (not done yet) we still have to stain the inside. He paid around 8,000 for the boat. But it is a monster.. HUGE for a Dory.

Paid 2000 for the glass and paint...

Not sure what he paid for the trailer.
