Heading to our camp site up on the Missouri river for a long, 4 day weekend. A new state record blue cat was caught there last week, or the week before. Hoping to find something up there other than these:

Surprised you've never caught one through the ice.
I can fillet the Y bones out of a northern in 2 minutes now, but the first couple (when I was learning how) I fucking destroyed.
You'll have 3 fillets when you're done.
Back meat and 2 sides. Trim the belly fat off the bottom of the 2 sides. It's nasty.
Some people keep the cheek meat too, but I don't unless someone requests it.
nice fush. What kind of trout is that? I know nothing about trout except our saltwater, speckeled trout.
