That probably has more to do with the arena and/or the sound equipment in the arena than the crowds themselves. Igloo crowds were loud, and the Consol crowds are comprised essentially of the same people, so I don't think all of a sudden those people got quiet.

I think there's a lot more of the new wave of fans than there is the old wave. The loud part of the fan base is our age...the ones who were in high school when Sid was drafted and really got back into things again. That age group sort of makes up the really passionate part, and that's also the part that can't afford tickets anymore. There's a lot of things that work into it, but it rarely seems loud in there anymore. I hope the playoffs change that...
