huh?

the skins have the worst set of pass catchers in the NFL.

the rb group looks pretty good. the offensive line is overrated and always injured. They have a huge hole at LG and a very very average C

the defense has some more talent on it but I dont think they have enough difference makers on either side of the ball

Whatever you say Mr. Positive. Who knows about the O line? We really can't evaluate it till it remains relatively healthy. Whether that is the case this season is anyone's guess. As for WRs - perhaps but I definitely see potential for big improvement this season - we will see. I think that you highly underestimate the talent on the defensive side. They are certainly not the best unit in the NFL, but they should be pretty damn good.

Oh well - do yourself a favor & just become a full time Eagles fan. Go annoy them & not us. Your views are laughable at best.

I believe that Gruden is currently making $5M/yr plus perks & probably some supplemental income. Pretty safe bet that he wants to keep his job. If they fired him I doubt that he would immediately be signed as a head coach. More likely he would be signed as a coordinator for a lot less. So - yes - I assume that he wants to remain as the Skins HC. You apparently believe everything you are fed by the media & think that Gruden spends most of his day stewing over his issues. Get a clue.

I can see this having some merit. However I see no way that this type of situation unfolds in the real world. Several teams in the past have stated during the preseason that they would take this approach only to give into pressure & start a rookie QB often very early in the season.

Your scenario suggests that the Redskins sit Haskins and have an awful record in the process. Several potential problems with this scenario. 1. They actually have a halfway decent amt of talent if they remain relatively healthy & if TW plays (which I believe he will after sitting for perhaps a good chunk of training camp). 2. Keenum might actually do fairly decent in which case Haskins sits, but it does not unfold into the situation you allude to above & 3. if they do play poorly & have a poor record midseason then Gruden will be under tremendous pressure to start Haskins. Since he is in a make or break year it is hard to imagine that he won't succumb to that pressure (Unless he feels that he won't be retained regardless).

Oh well - again hard to tell how this will unfold since there are so many unknowns at play. Can't wait for the season to get started.

Oh, I see zero percent chance this happens as well.

1- there is some talent on this team; however, there is no reason to believe they can remain healthy at key positions. Our two best OL have both had some injuries the last two season and one wants a trade, while our third best is usually hurt but plays. Our best DL is Allen who is an injury risk and Ionaman always misses time. Do we have a secondary?

2- I don’t see Keemun performing well. Our OL has questions and he doesn’t exactly have Thielen or Diggs to throw to.

3- Yes he will and I expect he would cave to the pressure. Again, if I were the owner, I would encourage Jay to do the right thing.

LOL. You live in a fantasy world. As you mention - there are only 32 teams. Head coaching jobs are not easy to come by & Gruden is making good money. You make it sound like he is miserable every day at Redskins Park. I am sure that he has his bad moments but likes his job. Once again - your incorrect fans pt of view.

what would you call the least desirable head coaching gig in the NFL

its got to be the Skins by a long shot

Eagles are going to be a force this year assuming they dont get killed with injuries. Only position I'm worried about is backup QB. I actually really wanted Keenum on Eagles. I thought he would be a perfect backup for RPO.

Sudfield right now is the backup... remember when skins didnt value him? Now he has the most important backup qb gig in the NFL hahaha

The oline has been injured for years. What makes you think this year will be different?

Whats pretty damn good to you? Top 15 defense? Pretty damn good to me is top 5 defense. Redskins wont be there though they are making waves. I think the secondary and ILB is still suspect

Fair enough. I am not going to argue on 1 or 2. They are all TBD. We will see how it unfolds this season. As for 3 - oh well - we really don't know & we both know that Snyder won't take this approach. Who knows how Gruden reacts if/when this occurs. If he succumbed to pressure (perhaps against his better judgment) well - who can blame him. Let's hope it doesn't unfold in this matter - time will tell.

Who cares. Again - there are only 32 NFL head coaching jobs. If Gruden gets fired it is far from a given that he gets another HC anytime soon. I can think of a lot worse ways of making a living - especially for $5M+ per year. As always - appreciate your complete hatred for a team that you post about nonstop.

I mean what average joe wouldnt take that job at $5m?

Do you think coaches like Frank Reich, Doug Pederson, Bill Bellicheck, Sean Mcvay, Kyle Shanahan, Ron Rivera etc. would want this job though?

could be true or the o/line and pass catchers are better then you think and we have a pair of difference makers at OLB and one at safety

again CK had the vikes in the NFC titke game 2 years ago

Vikes had a hell of a team that year I think he is the QB we will get that played in Denver and even if he plays somewhere in between that still won't be good enough and Gruden will be fired
