I don't think I am drinking Koo-laid...I really think we are going to win the B1G this year and go 12-1 into the playoffs. I think we beat MSU in a rematch or tOSU. Anyone else got the vibe?

nope, not even for a second. not with the inconsistency of this offense. had we showed up at MSU, or managed a full game against NW, then maybe, but most definitely not now.

No

With road games at Wisconsin and Iowa, winning the division will be tough. Potential bofarts with Rutgers and Minnesoa are also there.

But if they happen to find their way into the CCG, I think they get blown out by Mich St or tOSU.

The talent is there in the skill positions, but Nebraska lacks elite play up-front and in coaching.

It is amazing how this coaching staff can stage comebacks like no other staff in the country, but can't get the team prepared out of the gates.

Not so sure about that bolded statement.

The last part I agree with 100%

No sir.

Nebraska still has Wisconsin on the road. Convince me with a win at Madison. Right now, I see it as a loss with Mr. Gordon shaming this defense.

If somehow, Nebraska does get to the CCG, then there is the BIG game problem that exists on this team.

The CCG would be a BIG game.

What is helping to offset this, is that Nebraska is turning into a second half team. Which is a reverse of what they did before. Before Nebraska would get up early, then lose it.

Bo Pelini is at his best as a coach when the team has its back against the wall.

You have to give the guy credit. He finally got the team to do what they are supposed to: Destroy Northwestern.

They didn't even belong on the same field as the real NU for the last 30.

I don't buy that anymore. It may have applied the first couple of years, but their backs have been against the wall for 4.5 years now.

This I how to properly evaluate Nebraska prior to a game.

If you think their opponent can finish the season with 9 wins or more, their chances of winning are de minimis.

If opponent looks to finish with 8 wins, Nebraska stands an even chance.

If opponent looks to finish with 7 wins or less, chances of a Husker win go up considerably.

Those are usually the characteristics of a 9-win team.

I know I know, it is nice to dream, but even if Nebraska does by some miracle of epic proportions go 12-1 through the conference game, there's going to be way too many one loss and undefeated teams available for them to be selected for the playoffs.

flat out no. and pretty much everyone stated why this dream won't happen.

but if we beat wisky at Madison then I might begin to believe. but we are way to inconsistent and these 2nd half comebacks won't work against better teams.

sad part is the west division look soft...but this team will find ways to make it look like the sec west

This was already discussed on ESPN the other day. If Nebraska were to run the table and beat a #2 ranked Michigan State team to win the Big 10, they would have a great shot over teams from the Big 12 who don't have a Championship game to help boost them into the convo.

Oklahoma and Baylor were the Conference's 2 best chances with the popularity they had coming into the season. They're both out now. Baylor cannot win out and get in over a 1-loss Big 10 Champion, especially when their one loss was to a mediocre West Va team midway through the season.

Michigan State is in as long as they win out, but Nebraska has a chance beings as they can take Michigan State out to end the season, and that would be a huge statement.

If you're speaking strictly on the odds of actually running the table, I agree......if we were to follow suit with previous seasons, we will fuck up some where.

But if we run the table, we're gonna be right there at the end. We would make things a real headache for the playoff committee.

Baylor didn't struggle to beat FCS McNeese St.

Pelini and staff had their chance to overcome that joke of a football game and couldn't get it done.

Nebraska doesn't deserve to get in over any other one loss P-5 team.
