That McNeese game will not even be a part of the discussion if the committee is talking about us.

They've all seen this happen before. Little cinderella team gets up for a little game. Big team has finger in butt.

Baylor didn't struggle to beat FCS McNeese St.

Pelini and staff had their chance to overcome that joke of a football game and couldn't get it done.

Nebraska doesn't deserve to get in over any other one loss P-5 team.

Normally I would be right there with you R_A but I think this year may really be different. We have seen Pelini grow. I don't know if he has looked back and seen how much his loyalty to Martinez held him back, seen Beck basically bench Ameer for a half while chasing his pipe dream of a passing offense, or just got sick and tired of Papuchis licking his boots but it seems like he has started to make some of the hard decisions a head coach should make, 1 being putting Beck on a leash and then this last game actually pulling players who were not performing.

This is growth I have been looking for. Pelini may actually be starting to grow into the position

Or I am looking for hope where there is none. He does get me every year.

You keep thinking that.

It's a moot point anyway. This is not a championship team. Nebraska is not even close to belonging at the big boy table.

This was already discussed on ESPN the other day. If Nebraska were to run the table and beat a #2 ranked Michigan State team to win the Big 10, they would have a great shot over teams from the Big 12 who don't have a Championship game to help boost them into the convo.

Oklahoma and Baylor were the Conference's 2 best chances with the popularity they had coming into the season. They're both out now. Baylor cannot win out and get in over a 1-loss Big 10 Champion, especially when their one loss was to a mediocre West Va team midway through the season.

Michigan State is in as long as they win out, but Nebraska has a chance beings as they can take Michigan State out to end the season, and that would be a huge statement.

In what scenario does MSU make it to number two?

Number 8 in the AP. 5 in the coaches.
Either way they got to go through Miss State, Ole Miss, Alabama, Florida State and probably Oregon, Auburn and Notre Dame

Still have to play Ohio State and the winner of the west.

So like I said before, In what scenario does MSU make it to number two?

How the hell did you edit that without it saying you edited?

Edited it within like 8 seconds.

Don't know how in the hell you read it that fast.

Anyways, there is WAY too much season left for MSU not to be able to move up 3 spots. Out of all the teams in the top 10, MSU has the easiest path....and most likely path to running the table. They will demolish tOSU, because the Buckeyes aren't actually that good.

if we win @ Wiscy, then I will have hope for us running the table. but until then, I'm going to stay in my "bo just can't win the big ones" mentality. not that wiscy is really a "big one" but it's one that Bo should win and must win and so it is a "big one" because of that.

Wisconsin is a big one because it's on the road and it's Wisconsin.

That is the type of game that our guys just psychologically have never been able to overcome. Just the idea of it all is scary to them.

You got a couple of problems. One Florida State is not going anywhere unless up. Next Alabama is not going to beat Miss State and I just can't buy into Ole Miss. Miss State is going to be there.

Then you got Notre Dame who most likely is going to win out the rest their schedule which will put them ahead of Mich State. One spot left and I don't think it's for any one in the B1G.

I could be wrong but I see #3 as an outside chance with some unlikely losses, maybe number 4 but doubt it too.

Of course it's all conjecture because none of us have any idea what the playoff committee is thinking.
