The Sabres have a few good youngsters in the AHL and in the juniors. The extra time down their will help these kids IMO. I know the Sabres were not one of the teams mentioned but it's just my view from their end.

hows Coho doing lately boss

/Kassian was a healthy scratch last game for the chi wolves :L

He was doing pretty good but got hurt jstew. I need to check and see if he's back yet though.

He's only played in nine games with 10 points.

Marcus Foligno has 19 points in 19 games and TJ Brennan has nine goals and nine assist in 19 games so he seems to be coming along fine. Esp for a d man.

I expect we'll see a lot of Foligno if they actually get a season in. He impressed me big time when he was up at the end of last season.

He started off really strong, but has slowed down quite a bit lately.

He was top 5 in scoring, but now is falling out of the top 20.

Me too, He never takes a shift off and works his ass off in the corners.

Yeah, but I've never expected him to come in and be a big time scoring leader on the team. I look to him as a high energy 3rd liner, possibly with a huge potential on the PK with the right development.

Remember all of those people project the Penguins to have an even worse defense this year than last year, let me drop some knowledge. And to think these young defense are going to be one-year better next year.

GAA - 1st-tied
PIM - 1st-tied
PK% - 1st-tied
Games lost because Paul Martin has the physicality of an Olsen twin - 1st... tied.

To be serious, this lockout may really speed up the progress of the Penguins defensive depth, which only had one way to go anyway.

Can a mod re-label the title of this thread? It says "hypothetical" when clearly this is a real-life scenario. ;)

What do the Pens G prospects look like? Because honestly I don't think Fleury is the long-term answer that everyone wants him to be.

Maybe it's just me but I think the Sabres have a pretty solid roster esp with the G boys and guy's like Foligno and Brennan. The goal tending should be solid and even though they have no real top line superstars they should have pretty good depth on four lines. Similar to the Bruins but time will tell.

Dear Sharks,

Boyle for a 2nd at the deadline

K thx bye :)

Also, I want the Sharks to blow it up, too. Not for the better of the team, but just the insanity of seeing a team trading their two top players in the same day. (From on outside POV, of course)
