*Last year's ranking in parenthesis

1) LeBron James, SF, Miami Heat (1)

2) Kevin Durant, SF, Oklahoma City Thunder (2)

3) Kobe Bryant, SG, Los Angeles Lakers (3) - Obviously he’s coming down in next year’s rankings.

4) Chris Paul, PG, Los Angeles Clippers (7)

5
) Carmelo Anthony, SF, New York Knicks (11)

6) Dwyane Wade, SG, Miami Heat (4)

11) Blake Griffin, PF, Los Angeles Clippers (16)

12) Derrick Rose, PG, Chicago Bulls (5) – I still believe he’s the best point guard in the NBA, but he needs to hit the court before I rank him as such again.

13) Deron Williams, PG, Brooklyn Nets (13)

14
) Dirk Nowitzki, PF, Dallas Mavericks (6)

Ive seen a lot of the Grizzlies this year. Z-bo is the 3rd best player on that team. At some point you get so banged up that its just plain ol' regression.

Iguodola is too high. I would maybe swap Melo and Kobe.

The top 7 looks perfect, imo. Kyrie Irving looks a little too low. Vince Carter has also prob had a better year than Marion.

Kyrie didn't have a great 2nd half of the season. After avg 23 PPG on 46% shooting before the AS game, his numbers went down to 20 PPG on 41% in the 2nd half

James Harden started regressing towards the end of the season, as well. Its hard to be 'the guy' in a league where teams should really have multiple star players to compete.

I know you have Little Lebron higher then Kobe even though he only has one championship, but I would love to see Lebron have the grit and balls to shoot and clutch two free throws on a torn achilles tendon and then walk off the court like a real man does

Did you watch basketball this year? Marion had a damn good year if you actually paid attention.

He did not play better then Dwight Howard though who didn't even make the list. In fact if I had the time there were players that played better. The dude just isn't that good - come on now:lame:

I didn't see - that, but still to have Derek Rose at #12 over Dwight Howard when Derek Rose didn't even play a game the entire season?

Ramon Sessions had a better season then Rose:lame:

Lilliard or however you spell his name had a better season then Derek Rose and so did Clay Thompson. Just saying and both of those two deserve a spot over Shawn

How many rings do Lilliard and Thompson have TLF? Or do they just pad stats on mediocre/lousy teams?

What does that have to do with the top 50 players in the NBA this season?

I'm just saying that even those two played better then Derek Rose was a DNP then entire season. That's just stupid

I don't understand how this list has Derrick Rose, Kevin Love and Rajon Rondo. Those guys missed more than half the season, if not the entire season. I also agree with bksballer that Marion should not be on this list. He may have had a decent season, but there are several guys that had better seasons. Greg Monroe (whom you list on your honorable mention) should be ahead of Marion.

Thank you for the voice of reason - I kind of gave him the benefit of the reason with Rondo, hadn't noticed Kevin Love - I had that clown on my fantasy league and he was a complete disaster that screwed me over, but Rose didn't even play this season:wtf2:

LOL @ The Hoorse being the voice of reason. Are we supposed to just pretend these guys aren't in the league anymore simply because they didn't play much this year?

Anyway, Shawn Marion is a champion and he had a very good year this year. That is why he made my list.

I don't have to be the voice of reasoning for someone to realize your list has some major flaws. I'd like to read your explanation on why Derrick Rose is on the list of Top 50 players list for 2012-2013 season when he didn't even play 1 second.
