Why is it not 2 months? Where they've played .426 ball (a pace at which they finish the season with 69 wins)

Why is it not 2 weeks and 2 days? Where they've played .538 ball (a pace at which they'd finish with 82 wins.... still well short of the playoffs)

Why is it not since the start of May where they've played .500 ball (a pace at which they'd finish with 77 wins)?

Seems like a lot of cherry picking to put lipstick on a pig (the pig being, the Jays are 8.5 games out of 1st place.... and 4.5 games out of 4th place)
