No one is giving up a 1st. Likely not a 2nd. If you can get a 3rd, pull the plug.Don't you find it interesting that Vrabel tells a bunch of media that all of the free agent rumors are bullshit and the rumors in Boston stop dead cold.
Even more interesting is that the rumors about the Patriots are coming out of Seattle and Las Vegas now. Pete Carroll has supposedly called his old team up in the northwest and asked about the availability of 34 year old QB Geno Smith. According to a Seattle TV guy, the Seahawks are willing to move Geno if they can pry away Joe Milton III.
Here's where it gets tough to separate the bullshit from a half truth. They supposedly offered the Patriots a third round pick or #82 in this year's draft. The Patriots supposedly declined the offer. Then the Seahawks supposedly asked the Patriots if they would be interested in DK Metcalf. The Patriots supposedly said no because Metcalf has said that he does not want to be traded to NE.
Sooooooooooooooooo. What is the real story??? Is there a real story???
If this stuff is even close to being real, are the Patriots trying to get the Seahawks second round pick, #50?? Are the Patriots hoping that everyone else is reading this and either the Titans or Giants will step in and offer a first or second????
A second blurb has also said that Carroll is trying to get Geno who's contract is up after 2025. How involved is TB12 in all of this? Id Tom looking to see what NE wants for Milton???
You gotta admit that seeing teams 3000 miles away getting the Patriots involved in their team needs and not having it being generated out of Boston makes things a hell of a lot more interesting. Even if it is BULLSHIT...................................................................
He's more valuable to us than a third. Not saying he's worth more than a third, just we shouldn't give him up for a third. No one is giving up a 1st. Likely not a 2nd. If you can get a 3rd, pull the plug.
might be a 2nd - just sayin'No one is giving up a 1st. Likely not a 2nd. If you can get a 3rd, pull the plug.

Patriots Reportedly Interviewed Franchise Legend Before Controversial Hire
The Patriots reportedly interviewed a franchise legend for a potential reunion before making a controversial hire on the coaching staff.nesn.com
"I've had a tremendous experience as a Patriot. They've been nothing but good to me," Slater told WBZ-TV's Dan Roche, via Matt Geagan of WBZ News. "They allowed me to live out my childhood dream and I'm very thankful for that. I'm thankful for all the Kraft family has done for me and I don't see that changing anytime soon."I would have love to have Welker back... But it does seem like Vrabel and CO (minus Mcdaniels) is totally getting away from "Patriots" guys.. I mean after all Matthew Slater was kicked to the curb
Who is Jason Ounpraseuth? Where does he get all of his information?I would have love to have Welker back... But it does seem like Vrabel and CO (minus Mcdaniels) is totally getting away from "Patriots" guys.. I mean after all Matthew Slater was kicked to the curb

The "Patriots interviewed".....................who interviewed Welker?? Was it McDaniels? Wolfe??
This is looks like "I don't like the guy who got hired because I don't know who he is." Welker was an outstanding wide receiver and might be a good coach, but working with a group of WRs that just couldn't seem to get it all together might be a bit more than he might want to take on or could take on. Vrabel has brought in people to counterbalance the remaining staff that the Krafts kept around. Doesn't appear that he wants alot of the "old guard" interfering with his rebuild.
He's already starting to hear Wolfe saying that he'll be making the final decision on all personnel moves. REALLY??????

I'm not sure Welker was ever a "Patriot guy". Being a good contributor isn't the lone definition. He got caught shooting his mouth off, left for basically the same money out of spite (the "same money" invalidated his reason for spite), and hung TB out to dry for his costly SB flub.I would have love to have Welker back...
