No one knows for sure.........

Daytona Daily Journal January 16. 2025.

Full page article about Vrabel becoming the HCofNEP.

Much are quotes by Teddi Bruschi who believes that Vrabel would not take the job if he didn't have the final say on personnel and players. Bruschi based everything on personal conversations with Vrabel before he interviewed.

1. If a coach doesn't agree about signing a player and he fails, that coach will have zero respect for the person who brought him in and will not be able to work with him in the future. It will create a division that will effect the team. The coach must have the final say.

2. Vrabel says that he will be turning the screws as far as discipline is concerned. If a player doesn't want to follow Vrabel's programs and rules, he will sit down with that player and ship his ass somewhere else or just cut him loose. He will not tolerate any mutinous activity.

3. He will not publicly discuss who he has been talking with about taking coaching positions. He will give the OC and DC the freedom to bring in the staffs that they need to get the job done. Again, Vrabel will have the final say after discussions with the coordinators.

4. Vrabel will be very active when the free agent market is open for business.. Neither he or his staff will discuss anyone that they may be looking at or may have previously spoken with, prior to coming o the Patriots.

5. The Scouting staff has already put together a list of the draft eligible players that will be even more carefully scouted at the Senior Bowl, other senior activities and the Combine. The list ill be tiered and depending on free agent signings, the priorities on the list will change.

6. The Patriots have the #4 pick in the first round of the draft. If free agent signings are highly successful, Vrabel, according to Bruschi will be open to trading it or even drafting a player to be traded either during the draft or after the draft.

If the FA is successful trading may make sense but there are 4 or 5 guys if available I would like to see drafted.

It's been very quiet about Josh McDaniels. Rumors are circulating that he and Vrabel have agreed that Josh might be better off taking a college HC position............................really??

OC favorite that has appeared in the smoky haze is Shane Bowen, NYG OC.

Bowen was scheduled to go to a college all star game where he would supposedly be accepting a major college HC job. Now the NY Media and others have said that he's accepted the OC position in NE with Vrabel. No confirmation anywhere.

Jeremy Springer has been kept as the Special Teams coordinator.

Scott Peters, NEP OL Coach has accepted the same position with Cincinnati Bengals. Thank you Scott.

BOOM!!!!!!!!!! Outta Nowhere.......................
Just saw this.......Matt Lazar thinks Vrabel will spend a draft pick to get this guy to be his OC
Mike LaFleur (Current Job: Rams Offensive Coordinator)
In his first season as Titans head coach, Vrabel tabbed LaFleur's brother, Matt, as his offensive coordinator, poaching Matt from Sean McVay's staff where he was the Rams offensive coordinator. Could the younger LaFleur brother follow a similar path as his older brother?
Although it would be a lateral move title-wise for LaFleur, McVay has let his offensive coordinators leave before to allow them to be play-callers. Obviously, McVay is the primary play-caller and offensive architect in LA. In this instance, LaFleur has called plays already as the Jets offensive coordinator under Robert Salah for two seasons. Along with working for McVay, LaFleur spent seven seasons working under Kyle Shanahan, linking up with Saleh in San Francisco. LaFleur has been mentored by Shanahan, McVay, and his older brother. For an offensive coach, it doesn't get much better than that, while LaFleur would likely run a Shanahan tree offense that Vrabel is familiar with already.
It's fair to wonder why LaFleur failed in his first opportunity as a play-caller. At age 34, he might not have been ready to run an offense. The Jets were also trying to make Zach Wilson work, so maybe he was paired with the wrong quarterback. With the LaFleur-Vrabel connection, it's possible that the Pats HC could pry LaFleur out of Los Angeles.

Patriots requested an interview with Dolphins outside linebacker coach Ryan Crow for their vacant defensive coordinator position.
Crow is linked to new head coach Mike Vrabel after coaching under him in Tennessee for six seasons. It appears Vrabel will have a big hand in selecting the rest of his coaching staff with his new franchise.
