You also get the rules committee to award points for a QB's "potential." "Lack of leadership" traits would have to be heavily rewarded as well. I feel that a common thread among Super Bowl-winning teams is that they play well as a team. Maybe that seems like a simple thing. But if you look at the last few Super Bowl winners...

• Seahawks over Broncos (MVP Malcolm Smith)
• Ravens over 49ers (MVP Joe Flacco)
• Giants over Patriots x2 (MVP Eli Manning)
• Packers over Steelers (MVP Aaron Rodgers)
• Saints over Colts (MVP Drew Brees)
• Steelers over Cardinals (MVP Santonio Holmes)

...you could say that some of these teams were underdogs going into the games. Maybe they had just a few positions of above-average talent, but the opposing team had just as many, or more.

Coaching, discipline, amazing catches, fortunate bounces, consistency from all 3 phases, getting hot at the right time - it all contributes to a championship. Plus you gotta love how some of the obscure role players seem to step up in the big game. The whole team was great. Not just one guy. Or a few guys.

No reason the Bears can't end up on this list IMO.
