I didn’t realize how bad those stats were.
Essentially he is PSUs John cooper. He’s capable of the team going 8-4, 9-3, or 10-2……, being ranked, and bowling every year….. but that’s it.
He has another shot in a few weeks.

True, was looking at that and was kind of surprised how 'unsuccesful' they have actually been.

Have always seen them as the 3rd best in the B10 East, but most years they really haven't been. Now we add USC, UCLA, Washington, and Oregon to the mix. Obviously they take a step back with the addition of those teams, right?

Four in the last 7 years. I can forgive him for 2014-15 as he inherited a pretty weak program at the time.

Fortunately with an expanded playoff and conference realignment, he won't have to worry about beating both in one season. Granted it means facing one/several of USC/UCLA/Oregon/Washington.

It's not like his teams are getting routed every time. They've played OSU tough and he has beaten Michigan several times, granted Michigan has also had some big blowout wins over them.

Great observation. Never really thought about that, but you are right. They simply don't ever have any great OL that move on to the NFL much less sprinkle about All Conference teams.

The B10 is a much much tougher league and adds some really tough West Coast programs next year.

Penn State is solidly the 3rd best team in the BIG and 4th isn't even close.
