Bleacher Report won't let me share it for some reason. It's from PFT. I think i heard the Junkies say JP shot it down already.

It would take draft compensation.

He would want to be the GM.

He's 71.

He's a defensive coach

Hasn't done much of anything without Brady.

Defensive genius.

Best I could do was screenshot the article.

I feel as though Beliicheck is riding on name only at this point.

Since Brady left, he's got a sub .500 record and going nowhere.

I dont know if you can say that "the game has passed him by" in the same way that you cay that about RR, but his most recent track record isn't great.

Clearly there was something about the combo of Brady and Bellicheck that produced "GOAT" level work. I'd also be really really careful with coaches that also want to be GMs.

Surely there's a younger, more innovative GM / Coach combo that would be a progressive hire?

Liberal Florio is the architect behind this. Just like he was with the LJ story. I don’t believe a damn word of it

It's a hard no for me.

We all agree with this but you also have to look at some of the scenarios.

When Brady left, Gronk left and Jules soon after. The Pats were very cap tight no room and were in completed rebuild mode. So it's easy to say it was all Brady but there is little truth to that.

My question is, BB supposedly just signed a new contract with the Pats, none of us know the details. If that's so what would the Commanders have to give up to get him? And would they allow him GM duties as he has here. A lot of us (Pats fans) feel BB should be stripped of GM duties so I have to wonder how that would play into any deal

From nfl.com

Bill Belichick signed lucrative, multi year deal with the Patriots in the off season, unlikely to be fired this year (10/22/23)

Part of the article.

Ian Rapport- "His contract [is] one of the most closely held secrets in New England. That said, I think it's fair to say there were some, at least, uncertainty or intrigue surrounding him. Now contractually he's locked up long-term."

Really odd the details of the new contract haven't been made public.

I agree with what you said.

I touted this guy when he was a successful OC and some of you thought I was crazy.

I think we need a young HC with a long background and maybe even come from a family of a Super Bowl winner…can’t think of anybody that fits that mold or has ever been a part of this organization.
Yeay I was all in on him too.

I guess you’re going to tell me he isn’t?
Don't care! There's not a bit of difference between politicians no matter what label they are plastered with.

Too many of our people literally have to stop being pawns in the game or to paraphrase the 19th century British Prime Minister Lord Palmerston, understand that...

" In politics, there are no permanent friends, or permanent enemies, only permanent interests!"
